Excellent position close to the sea and the town. Nice welcome and check in very straightforward. Large room with sea view. Very clean. We didn't use the restaurant or bar but looked nice. They do a cocktail happy hour. We wanted a last minute night away by the sea and this hotel was very reasonably priced. We were lucky to secure unrestricted on-street parking a short distance away.

Most facilities you'd expect of a small town, with plenty of streets to explore. The beach and town are close together and there are several safe places to cross into the park area which is well tended and attracts children especially because of the wildfowl. We found a several pubs without trying too hard- they are used to tourists, though by no means plasticy artificial places: we met the locals and enjoyed the experience, The Marine Tavern, next to our B+B was mostly uncrowded and very welcoming. Superb train services to get to other towns and villages, and the coast is well served by buses.

I loved everything except our property the actual park was brilliant and you could never be bored there everything you could wish for just be mindful the properties are not all you think they are until you get inside we must have been one of the unlucky ones entirely of pubs and restaurants and cafes to eat the food is beautiful

Not all restaurants were open every night. The ones open were very good. The accommodation was very clean. Appreciated fresh bottle of water every day and the home made cookies everyday. Extra milk, tea, and sugar outside bedrooms. A very nice touch.

What a little gem of a place. Great location on the seafront. Room was lovely, clean, spacious and modern. Comfy beds and great to have a fridge in the room too. The breakfast was amazing with lots of choice and very tasty too and the staff were all very friendly. Really good value for money in this area. Great bar next door too to grab a drink. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and when we arrived there was a bottle of Prosecco in the room a really lovely touch thank you. Will definitely come back again when next in Devon.
