Wonderful hotel in a wonderful location; friendly and helpful staff; excellent food; lovely room with many thoughtful local touches - artwork, books and maps which were appropriate to the locale, and generous towels and robes. Great breakfast.

To stay overnight in this adorable village is a treat. And there are not many options. The New Inn or the Red Lion down at the harbor. So, you kind of get what you get. The New Inn is a historic building and the location is perfect. The hotel seems in need of a pretty hefty refresh. The lobby had an odd smell and there was a huge orange spider in our shower when we got into our room (#8). The bathroom could use a deep clean. But all the staff were super friendly and welcoming! Overall a nice experience.
