Williton isn't that inspiring but it's right at the bottom of the quantock hills which look like an amazing place to go walking. It's quite close to the sea too which was nice for a morning stroll.

Williton is a bustling pretty village with some beautiful walks and picture postcard buildings. It has a lot of facilities that include an excellent local bus service 2 supermarkets,2 pubs and cafes.
I ate at the Mason's Arms- a very cosy and welcoming local pub that does well cooked pub grub and good cider.I have heard the cafes do excellent food during the day and the local Indian restaurant was highly recommended by my hosts-i would suggest you book as it's very popular and they start serving from 5.00pm.
It's location on the A39 and A358 make it ideal whether you are travelling for work or pleasure.

Decent Indian restaurant and chippie.
Decent Indian restaurant and chippie. Masons Arms very friendly pub with good food and booze. Generally a small working town with a petrol station, bakery, post office, bank and grocery stores. Not far to all points of local interest. Bus service to Minehead and Taunton. Can't think of anything to avoid, except the traffic coming round the bend.

On a monday ( at least) no restaurants/food is available in the village - only the indian Restuarant . The fish and chip shop / pizza parlour closed at 8.00. Few other restaurants further afield served food citing "C19/ cannot get the staff". It was a struggle to find anything apart from a Turkish pizza takeaway at Watchet . Even turned away from a hotel restuarant which was open at Porlock , on the basis not open to non residents. Seems only the National Trust and ethnic restaurants have found away round staffing and C19.

There is a rec ground close by, which is great for dog owners. The high street has 2 supermarkets, a butcher, a bakery and a (very) well frequented chip shop. The town is well located for the sights we accessed: Tarr Steps, Minehead, Watchet, Porlock, Lynton, Dunster, Horner.
This was our first time in Somerset: we’ll return.
Full of character and although facilities were a little dated and basic, it was very clean and the price reflected the facilities. Nice and warm and cosy. Kitchen was well equipped
Private garden was good (needed a little care and attention though)
Williton is a good base to explore the area, plenty of facilities and an excellent regular bus service
This was the third hotel in my "road trip" to Cornwall and Somerset and again I was shown to my room which was again a single and very spacious with a full size bath room. The bed was comfortable. The food in the restaurant was the best of the whole trip as it wasn't just "fish and chips" or "burger and chips" although these were available.
We stayed three nights. The hotel has comfortable bedrooms, a bar and dining room. The breakfast was very tasty, and we booked an evening meal on our last day which was also very good.
The owner and staff are friendly and helpful.
Lovely room , friendly helpful staff . Very good breakfast … best scrambled egg I’ve had in a hotel for a long time . Evening meal in the restaurant was delicious .
