You need to book well in advance if you want to watch the Black Cats at the stadium of light! There is a nice railway connection to nearby Seaham if you want to visit. Sunderland is a lovely city with lots of things to see and do. The coast here is beautiful with interesting beaches and walks. The people we spoke to were welcoming and friendly everywhere we went. Everything the people were generous in there attitude towards visitors there was plenty to do and visit public transport was readily available prices across the board were comparable to normal residential areas unusual for a top tourist attraction

It far exceeded expectations.
It far exceeded expectations. The accommodation was really lovely and to a high specification. We had a fabulous meal out at Antico who fitted us in early when already fully booked and a really nice walk down pier in the evening. Struggled with finding DC chargers for car though :0(

This hotel and their staff went above and beyond to accommodate everyone who was attending the concert. They had arranged a pamphlet with all the details one would need to get their way around. Good choice of hot and cold items for breakfast. Lovely, clean and comfortable room. Attentive, polite and friendly staff. Not too far to the Metro.
