The hotel is right in the town centre. Very clean, comfortable and inviting. They went the extra mile with providing us with everything we needed for our stay! The guy at check in was very kind too. This is definitely somewhere we will stay again.

Rooms are good size, new, clean and have a fun decor. Nice little touches with chocolate, Nespresso, etc. There are two nice walks from the hotel, one to the Castle and one along the river. Town is walkable. Designated parking was nice. Restaurant had some of the best food we had in England.
Located just 2 miles from the center of historic Lancaster and near the university, the Lancaster House Hotel offers a choice of dining experience, beauty and hair salons, and a fantastic health club....

The location was excellent for our purposes, and the breakfast was delicious.

Very conveniently located for access to the M6 motorway,...
Very conveniently located for access to the M6 motorway, into Lancaster itself, into Morecambe but also inland into the countryside.
Rooms are the usual fare – clean and tidy but long corridors and a bit soulless.
Food is good.
Remember to register your vehicle registration otherwise you get a parking ticket. We weren't told this and have had to appeal against the ticket. If we lose it's a £100 fine.

I went to university here.
I went to university here. Lancaster is a handsome Northern city. NOT particularly pretty but with lots of architectural interest. The food at 'The Merchants' and 'The Quarterhouse' is excellent - and contrasting. It needs good restaurants and both of these are, in there own way, remarkable. Jay Rayner did a fantastic review of 'The Merchants' in The Guardian. He was right. Brilliant food in a nice setting right in the middle of town and also amazing value. It is 'pub prices' for really sophisticated, but 'wholesome' food. BOTH MUST survive, please.

I lived in Lancaster for almost 20 years and I love it.
I lived in Lancaster for almost 20 years and I love it. I still live locally and I went to the hotel as a reward/treat to myself after a significant loss in my life. Lancaster is quite a compact city which is crammed with history and culture and independent shops.

Had a guided tour of the castle which was very interesting.
Had a guided tour of the castle which was very interesting. We also visited the Abbey adjacent. We also like the promenade walk along the River Lune which is easily accessible from the hotel. Lancaster is built on hills so for the mobility limited it can be difficult to walk around. We drove directly to the castle car park for blue badge holders. We ate all meals in our hotel.

Lots if restuarants to chose from had a lovely Turkish meal just up road from JD sports .seen some good talent at open mic bar . Will definitely recommend a visit to Lancaster I was pleasantly surprised.
Breakfasts are fabulous and generous portions.
Staff friendly helpful but not intrusive made me feel safe to have staff greet me when I got back at night.
Tea/ hot chocolate and coffee in room able to get flask of milk from bar and bottle of water daily. Room was cleaned daily. Hotel perfect location for shops, train and my family close to. Bus stop or I walked most places
Restaurant food super we had a Sunday lunch for the family.
Very friendly staff, beautiful room, great facilities. The food was delicious, My wife had the salad super bowl which was amazing, so many flavours. I had the gammon which was tender and very tasty, and best of all, excellent value for money. Good selection of beers in the bar and even though it's a big space, it still had a cozy atmosphere. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return next time we visit Lancaster.
It is convenient for a driver to use the facility as it has provided parking and makes life easier than trying to find a parking in town... The University is also accessible by bus, so it makes it all fine for people now willing to drive to town.
The rooms themselves are convenient, and access very easy.
The breakfast area is not in the hotel building, but it's not very far at all. It has a decent choice of food.
The building was very historic and interesting with a good location in the centre of Lancaster which isn't very big to walk around. The room was a decent size. The breakfast was paid for separately but had a very wide choice.
We also ate in the restaurant in the evening and all the food was good. Table service for drinks was also an added benefit.
The staff were all friendly and helpful.
Would stay here again.
The hosts were so friendly and welcoming.
They made sure that my stay was as good and relaxing as possible.
The Hotel was spotlessly clean and the breakfast room was fantastic.
Showing me around the breakfast room and making sure that I found everything I needed.
Complementary fruit and bottles of water in the reception was a very nice touch.
I would definitely stay again if I was to visit Lancaster.
Excellent, comfortable room with plenty of space and basically everything one needs. The person welcoming us was very helpful and friendly. We had some trouble finding parking space, but luckily the £5 a night on site parking space was made available to us. The room was clean and kept clean. The hotel was close to pretty much everything. Lancaster isn't that big, is it.
Great central location, and excellent value for money. Great that there's a shared kitchen for self-catering. It's a budget accommodation, and a reasonable alternative to hotels in the city (since the Travelodge/Ibis closed to paying customers to house refugees, there really isn't a basic, cheap, safe. clean option in the city centre.
The room was big, nicely decorated, and quiet. The bed was very comfortable - I had such a great night's sleep. Staff were friendly and polite. The area is next to the university campus, green and pleasant, 10 minutes' drive into Lancaster centre. We didn't add breakfast this time but have enjoyed it in the past.
Very well furnished house, close to town centre, easy to find and off street parking. Good comms from letter and overall a hassle free night in Lancaster, fantastic property, very comfy beds, it was hard to get up and leave!
As planned. We were measnt to go to a wedding at 1 pm. Arrived at 11 am. Had to get change inb the Gym. Hotel need to be flexible to meet the needs of the customers. 3 pm check is too late. Needs to be 1 or 2 pm.
N wadI stayed for two nights.. as a stop before Windermere from Manchester.. The hotel location was just good! Few minutes away from the centre of Lancaster.. the rooms were spacious, clean and nice..
it’s a great place for short term rentals and very quiet areas not to far from Lancaster city .
It’s more like a studies station than a hotel’s. But the price is great and the holders are amazingly.
Location was fantadtic easy access to Lancaster ,Morecambe and beyond great for bird life in the estuary the hotel should advertise its role near to superb bird watching countryside,
Townhouse rooms are beautiful! Perfect for people travelling and working in Lancaster. They felt like home and had plenty of space, much nicer than a basic hotel room.
We enjoyed staying in the apartment which is in a very good location for the centre of Lancaster. The apartment was very nicely furnished, clean and quiet.
