Sarah was wonderful. It was my first time staying in a Guest House/B&B and I was nervous about the host being overbearing. Not at all! She was so nice, helping me sort the locks on the doors, dinner, and gluten free breakfast and packed lunch! Thank you!

The breakfast was wonderful with a wide variety of foods. Tony is quite the chef and will fix anything you would like. Natalie made the dining area beautiful with flowers and china. She kept the sideboard stocked with fresh pastries, honey, jams and jellies. She and Tony are so outgoing and welcoming! The house is beautifully decorated and immaculate. What makes this home wonderful are Tony and Natalie. They are personable and helpful in all ways.

Beautiful property, excellent staff, lovely breakfast, great location.
This former church has been tastefully converted, enabling retention of the original features. Auld Kirk Hotel is located in the heart of picturesque Royal Deeside.

The very welcoming and helpful host and hostess. Helen’s blueberry scones! Little touches, such as a “wee dram” waiting in our room. The location. It was fun to see how the church has been adapted into a comfortable B&B.
Lovely village with interesting shops,. We enjoyed an excellent dinner at Farquharsons which we rated as the best meaL of our holiday and there was a good lively atmosphere in the bar/restaurant, with friendly staff. Easy access to countryside rides.

Braemar is in Royal Deeside.
Braemar is in Royal Deeside. It is a small, picturesque village loved by walkers and tourists alike. Rightly proud of its history and royal connections.. it has lots to offer. It is the gateway to the Cairngorms, quaint local gift shops and lovely restaurants and bars. You can choose then to take the scenic route over the hills to Perth via Glenshee ( take a tour of the local gin distillery at Persie ) or take the coast road via Ballater, Aboyne and Banchory to the city of Aberdeen. We certainly enjoyed our visit and plan to return next year.

Best food and pub for me was Moorfield House Hotel. A little tucked away but worth the effort.
Loads of walking from local strolls to mammoth Munro hikes.
The countryside and wildlife is fantastic.
It was a lovely cottage with full of character and personal touches. Jennifer was a very kind and attentive host who made sure we were comfortable and felt at home. The breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit being prepared every morning and a choice of three breakfasts. We enjoyed spending time in the living room where there were plenty of games and books were provided by our host. The property itself is walking distance to pubs, restaurants and cafes in the village. We've had a fantastic time and would love to return.
The location was ideal, just on the outstirts of Braemar, very quiet but easy walking distance of town centre.
The facilities were good, comfortable and very clean.
The breakfast was one of the best I've ever had, perfect for the morning after watching England beat Germany.
Everything was great, owner and his son run this hotel on their own and they really are great and generous people! All the other stuff is great as well and are there for you the whole stay. Just perfect, really!
Sadly 24 hours after we left, this lovey hotel burned to the ground.
Further comments would be pointless.
Best wishes and good luck to the owner Malcom and his family.
Cozy, comfy, warm cabin where we had everything we needed!! Just a short walk from the village centre, and nearby pubs/restaurants (which are also excellent).
