Going to Largs was like a trip into the past as I used to live about thirty miles away and this coast was a regular "go to place"!! And it is still a lovely place to visit. Largs is a great family town for anyone with small children, the funfair is on the seafront and amusements, plenty of places for eating, and local shops to browse in. Great walk along the sea front.
Great walk along the sea front. The Anchor Pub is an excellent spot. A nice old style pub ambience and pints were cheap too! We took the ferry (as foot passengers) to Cumbrae and got the bus to Millport. The service was excellent and great value too. The bus driver was very friendly. We called at The Pier Hotel and had a couple of beers in the secret beer garden. It is a real sun trap with views straight down the Clyde. Beer was good and the staff friendly. Largs is a very clean resort and we were impressed with the information boards along the sea front which told you about the buildings and landmarks in the town.Guest review byKeithUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Largs has everything to suit all ages.
Largs has everything to suit all ages. Plenty of amenities and served well with all transport services. Good public toilets too. Great to get ferry to Cumbrae. Tinto Tapas bar was amazing, served very authentic tapas food. The Paddlesteamer was very good value as are all Wetherspoons pubs. Any queries were answered quickly by Marc. The location was brilliant, right in the heart of Largs with plenty of parking.
