Lovely, immaculate cosy cabin. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay here and visited the castle and grounds which were close by. Thanks to the owners for the extras including milk in the fridge. The only thing that struck me when we first arrived was the handwritten note on the manual. It seems there have been issues with previous people not clearing up after their dogs inside. We didn't really need to start our stay knowing that previously a dog in season had made a mess there! How the owner had written this was quite harsh considering most of us are responsible dog owners with dogs that aren't messy inside! To be honest, I would have thought just a typed note stuck on the manual reminding dog owners to clean up after their dogs if an accident happened would be suffice. Maybe even leaving some kitchen roll in the kitchen or having some floor covering/lino on the wooden floor. That said, it's a beautiful cabin in a lovely part of the country.

Great hotel! Clean and contemporary finish. Me and my family booked two rooms and enjoyed the breakfast and the fact it was not far from amenities near Newport. I highly recommend!

The staff were lovely. The surroundings beautiful. Despite being a very busy venue with golfers and weddings, the staff managed the numbers so well. We were always served well. The pool was great. It is very well run.

While the property, which is very comfortable to stay in, is located close to the motorway, it is an oasis of rest, with a fantastic view of the bridges crossing the Severn. The owners, Jayne and Peter, are extremely welcoming and friendly, and clearly spend a lot of energy to accommodate their guests. A lot of food was provided, including fresh fruit, milk and yoghurt, which we appreciated very much. Highly recommended!

    We attened for a gig at the Castle which is a fantastic venue in its own rights. The place itself is somewhat compact but for me it has a few pubs scattered around but all in easy walking distance and we found the locals to be very friendly and welcomed us in all the pubs we entered. Cheers Caldicot we will return.

    A pleasant drive on a Friday evening over to Caldicot.

    A pleasant drive on a Friday evening over to Caldicot. Excellent weather, not too hot or too cold. An enjoyable day out with Hive Mind Mead & Brew Company. A Bee Keeping course in the morning and a Mead Making course in the afternoon. In between both courses, I had a relaxed walk around the grounds of Caldicot Castle!

    Excellent location opposite the impressive Caldicot Castle, a short walk to the village centre and also nearby to the coast walk to view the Severn Bridges. Comfortable spacious rooms and a very good choice of breakfast. I left my wristwatch behind, which was returned by secure post, excellent service. Happy to recommend. Try the Castle Inn across the road, cracking little pub.
