Perfect for families, friends, business and couples.

Perfect for families, friends, business and couples. So much to do around the area. Local tescos, aldi, halfords, b&m, mc Donald's, Gregg's, and other big named shops. Also there is a retail mall about 10 min drive away. Beautiful area with gorgeous trees and scenery. Local to alton towers and a mile down the road is monkey forest, the uks only place where you can walk amongst 140 monkeys. A must visit!

We came for the potteries but unfortunately didn't book ahead so didn't realise it wasn't open till the Wednesday so missed it. Also couldn't get into Emma Bridgewaters so only did the wedgewood. But the hotel was excellent, the Upper House so will be coming back.

We went to Alton Towers which was great but extremely expensive and very crowded so only managed 3 rides, due to the queing times. Didn't really see much more of Stoke apart from our hotel, which was very nice.

McDonalds next door but breakfast in hotel was good enough. Single glazed window in room so can hear traffic at night. Heater electric. Bath nice. Towels provided. Went with kids so that had arranged another Futton sofa bed as bed as requested.

As previously stated - there was nothing positive in the slightest. However, on reading some other reviews (wish I’d read them before booking) it was reassuring to see similar comments and photographs. As for those people giving it 9/10 and 10/10 reviews are either from the hotel, or being paid to write a totally dishonest review. The place is desperate…and no matter how you try to dress it up - it is not fit for purpose and should be removed from booking.com

    My husband chose the holiday.

My husband chose the holiday. I booked the hotel and its location as I was born in Stoke on Trent. It was near to Wedgwood World and other attraction we wanted to visit. The area has changed vastly since I lived there and we relied on a Satnav to get around by car. We stayed for 4 nights. On the last day we visited Trentham gardens shopping centre which was well worth the visit. However, we spent more time there and didn't get to see the gardens which were done by Capability Brown. The swimming pool we used to visit when I was a child was long gone and I would have been interested to visit the gardens. We would stay in this hotel again due to its convenient location.. Stoke on Trent is the 'Potteries'. It's industrial era cam to a close in the 20th century with its coal mines closes, pottery firms moved out and the Shelton steel works closed down. I haven't lived there for over 50 years and it was good to come back to see the town is still thriving. I did not visit the Stadium or Regent Theatre. I did visit Moorcroft and Middleton potteries. We would have visited Gladstone pottery but it was closed.

Pretty run of the mill Holiday Inn express.. but at £80 a night, I felt it was very expensive. Carpets in the room were very stained and the bathroom had areas that needed some TLC. Rubbish view but the hotel is on an industrial park next to the football stadium so couldn’t expect more. Breakfast was ok.. nothing to shout home about. Eggs were off the menu today which was a shame. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable but bed base had some dodgy stains! Stoke overall was a horrible place and would never return!

Brand new property built in a redevelopment in Hanley, Stoke on Trent. Best bed and pillows I’ve slept on! Even carpet in hall was deep and luxurious. Highly recommended. Knew car parking would be a bit of a faff, as I received both text and email beforehand explaining. It was, but at least I was forewarned. No information in room about restaurant or ordering, so when we got to reception in morning we were too late to order breakfast. Lost revenue chance for hotel, but apart from that excellent.

Breakfast was excellent although no dishes or spoons were put out for the cereals and we had to ask...minor issue.well positioned for going to different potteries and museums which was good. Good value for money although next time I would go direct to the hotel to see if we could get it cheaper.

It was nice that they had a pool. The reception was open 24 hours and so was the bar. The parking was decent and there was a little playground outside for the children. The TV had a decent amount of channels. And it wasn't loud there like it can be at some "cheap" hotels.

Comfy and spacious. Appreciated little touches - milk and choc in fridge. Very friendly, helpful & informative hosts. Why pay more for a Premier Inn/Travel Lodge when you can experience Holly Grove Farm! Would definitely recommend and will return.

This is a big hotel, with very large airy rooms, restaurant and bar - felt very clean and comfortable. The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly. Every effort made to compensate for ongoing renovation and lack of some amenities.

I was a bit concerned about the low review score but my room was fine. It's a half hour walk from Stoke station to Hanley, or about £6 by uber, or there are regular buses from outside the station.
