Travelling with children- A great city for a short trip- we had 1/12 days to explore which was more than enough and was safe with a young child, my child learnt so much and all locals were very welcoming and helpful. It gets hot in the city so May is the perfect time and would recommend booking the Acropolis for 8am when it opens as you can beat queue , the crowds and the heat and then follow on to do the museum as everything will make much more sense. If travelling with young children, (under 8 ) do not do the audio tours or guide as they looked very long and children will be bored. We did not- we made our own way around with a childrens guide book and took pictures of any text in museum so we we reflect afterwards as it kept my daughter much more interested. If with children use the hop on hop off bus as best way for them to see sights and not too much walking. Piraus was good on bus if you want a rest and a ride. not much else to go and look at other than cruise ships. very easy to get around Athens on metro but thought hop on hop off bus allowed you to get bearings and see much much more, the ancient Olympic stadium is great to look around too. to eat and drink was not expensive when on foot, best pastry and cake shop where you can buy a lunch is bread factory ( off of Metaxourghio tube/hope off bus stop A13 blue bus) good choice for Children and also PS restaurant for dinner. This was my second time in Athens, and I was pleasantly surprised. The city was very clean, there was no stray dogs, people vere very friendly and helpful. The food is excellent! Also, the beach, see and all main attraction in Athens. It was not very crowded. We did not purchase ticket on-line, but we also didn’t wait a lot to buy them at the counter – maybe 5 minutes. But of course, this could only be luck or just that time of the year. I was also surprised how big Athens are. They are very beautiful and I’m coming back.

The Hotel was located in the thick of the action yet was very quiet in the evening. Top notch cafes and restaurants were just blocks from the hotel. The roof top bar and restaurant was a added plus.

Been 3 Times Years ago Never liked Athens Got stranded there 4 Nigths due to missing a Ferry Athen has changed it is a wonderful, Fun , Cool City with great Boutiques & tons of wonderful Restaurants Many Restaurants have live Music Also Street Musicians all over Everyone speaks fluent English People are happy having Fun , enjoying themselves So many very good Restaurants Great Atmosphere There is a lot of Grafitti everywhere,- but it somehow adds to its charm I loved it ❤️will be back Be prepared to see quite a few Homeless People & Beggers Also so easy to walk around to explore different areas of the CitySusanne RyTurkey - 10Scored 10

Besides the famous sights and museums, we were very surprised how clean Athens was, including the city streets, Metro stations and its cars! We were warned of pick pockets in the metro but had no problems what so ever! The city as well as the metro felt very safe!

My daughter left her wallet with cash Euro 660 in it at safe in the room when check out. We called the hotel from Vienna airport between our transfer flight home. After few emails and message communication, the wallet was shipped back Taiwan to us, as well as the cash wired to our bank account. To be frank, it was beyond our expectation. I have to thanks all the staff and well managed hotel and amazing country--Greece.

We rent family room and turned out its 2 rooms with connecting door and 2 bathroom! Great one !
