Great view from our room overlooking the water. There are 2 pools overlooking the sea - kiddie pool and regular - both very nice. Very good breakfast selection.

We knew it was a little worn but it was charming. The rooms were large;the bath/shower was nice. The ceiling were high and we had a window. The gardens are fun to walk. The pool looked attractive but we didn’t have time. The location was right down the street.
Set inside Mount Vesuvius National Park, Hotel Souvenir offers free parking. It is 5 minutes' drive from the ancient Roman town of Ercolano and its ancient ruins, including the Villa of the Papyri.

Decent place for a short stay around the city-area. Clean rooms and a big parking area to leave your car. Excellent view from the balcony and really quiet place to enjoy your sleep. A super market and dinning selections are very close , about a 2 minutes walk.

The shower was wonderful and romantic. It was a double shower with two heads, one for each person and had mood lighting. Emanuele, our host was super kind.

Owner and staff were super helpful! Room was spacious and historical. Breakfast was very nice.
The ruins were fantastic. There is also the Teatro Antico, which is still underground. We missed out on this as we didn't find out about it until we got there. They only admit small groups at a time and it was fully booked. Tickets are available from the Herculaneum entrance or on the Ticket One website, so you really need to book on advance. There is a virtual Archaeological museum in the town. This includes a short 3D film about Vesuvius, the opportunity to fly a virtual drone and a VR experience of walking round one of the palace gardens. Ideal for kids and teens! The museum is screen based about Herculaneum ruins and does not include actual discoveries from the site.
For visiting the surrounding areas, trains into Naples are regular, as are trains to Pompeii (but you have to change - the ticket man didn't tell us this!). Don't miss the chance to wander round the actual town of Pompei. It was beautiful! In fact, next time I would choose to stay there over Ercolano or Naples!

My grandchild suggests we would have been better staying in Pompeii and travelling to Ercolano one day. I had decided to follow what my neighbour suggested, based on taking a younger child to southern Italy.

We spent one night in Ercolano to visit the ruins of Herculaneum and break up our trip to the Amalfi Coast. The ruins are a must-see and you can experience authentic Naples pizza at RO.VI. We also enjoyed espresso and drinks at the Herculaneum Cafe. I'm not sure what you'd do here for more than a day or two, but the ruins and authentic cuisine were definitely worth our time!

The apartment was very nice and people of Ercolano very friendly. They really drive like crazy, but that is their way of life. Train station is really near the apartment and best option to reach Napoli, Pompei, Sorrento...

Ercolano is a small town nearby Vesuvio, which can be seen...
Ercolano is a small town nearby Vesuvio, which can be seen from most everywhere, Naples bay also is lovely and is seen from most of the places in the town. You can easily find nice fish, pizza, fast food and traditional local restaurants in 10-15 min walk. There is a nice but small botanical garden in the territory of the local university. They also have a park of mandarins/tangerines which you can pick up for free.
The ruins of Ercolano/Herculaneum exceeded our expectations! It is not overcrowded as Pompei, the territory you can walk through in 1-1.5 hours, moreover, some buildings are in better condition ... we liked it.
It was the perfect location to experience the beauty of naples in a safe neighborhood. It was a 20 minute train ride from the center, but it was so perfect that when i went to the center i found it a bit underwhelming in comparison to the hospitality and kindess of the people from ercolano. The hodtel was easy to access regardless of the time of day, and the rooms were spacious. There was also a veranda with tables to hang out on. Other people staying at the hostel were kind, it had a good atmosphere!
Everything is perfect. Beautiful, nice atmosphere, calm area, very comfortable, nice restaurant, clean and everyday cleaning, good pool, nice breakfast, and very accessible staff. You can walk to Reggia di Porticci and have a look at the beautiful Palace and botanical garden or just walk to the ruins. It's also close to 2 train stations that give you access to Napoli, Salerno, Pompei, and Sorrento. They offered you at the hotel a trip to Capri, but I considered it overpriced.
This was our first stay while in Italy. We were there for two nights and had a very nice time while there. The room and other areas were gorgeous and the grounds well kept and very pleasant. They have a very nice restaurant with an outdoor patio, which was wonderful. The surrounding town of Ercolano is not that pretty, so this was a welcome oasis.
It is very close to the ruins of Herculaneum, which we visited on our first day. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
We loved the property's history and charm - magical! The rooms are beautiful and spacious. The staff was super attentive, friendly, informative, and great hosts. Thank you, Valentina, Maria (?), and Theresa for taking such good care of us.
There is a fantastic Michelin Guide restaurant almost across the street under the same ownership - a MUST try - we loved it!
The Herculaneum ruins are a short walk from the hotel (as was a pretty good pizzeria - great location.
Antonio was a helpful and charming host
The location was perfect for the historic site at Herculaneum
Antonio recommended a restaurant a few hundred yards away called Cubba Mitubba which was superb and very reasonable. That was lucky since there isn’t much else in Ercolano!
This place was a little tricky to find until you realise that it’s a narrow gate onto a courtyard dead opposite the bus station. Antonio met us there which helped a lot
Staff is amazing and in general Italians are amazing !!!
Our host Pepe told us everything and give us a lot of advices.
Rooms were super comfortable and cosy !!!
From house to the beach is 5-7 minutes by walk .
From ercolano its easy to go to Naples, Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi and of course to Vesuvio !
Super critics from me and wish the best to the property !!!

Forza Napoli! Forza Kvara !🇬🇪
The location was on the golden mile close to the antiquities of Ercolano. The rooms were in an old villa complex that had some faded grandeur and was really charming. Villa Cua itself was fitted out in modern luxury with a nod to the past with some excellent design touches such as murals on the ceilings. The host could not have been more helpful and the WiFi was excellent also.
The hotel was bliss and staffs were kind and very supportive during the stay. The hotel has met all expectation and the view from the hotel room was price less. if it was in summer, it would be great place to stay as it had great hotel pool just beside the coast. strongly recommend, especially if you are travelling with car
Perfect location for Herculaneum, and the markets - Daniela was such a friendly host and offered any help we needed. She also gave us a good luck charm that is traditional to the area which was so lovely of her. I travel a lot to Ercolano for work and this is by far the best location I have stayed at!
Good communication with the host. Quiet place away from noisy and tiring Napoli. Interesting neighbourhood with excellent access to nearby historical sites and landmarks either by foot or trains. Rooms were very clean. The Internet connection was the best I have had in any hotels.
Location is great: close to Herculaneum, local train station. It was very easy to visit Naples, Pompeii, Vesuvius, Sorrento…The hotel is located in a very old building, but the rooms are renovated recently: very modern and clean. I highly recommend staying at Villa Cua!
the hotel is located directly before the entrance to the historical Herculaneum site. There are a number of cafes and restaurants very close by.
the room was clean and the breakfast adequate, but good for value as we did not pay very much for our stay.
The location of the hotel is excellent. It'a halfway between the railway station and the Herculaneum ruins, both of them are within a 5-minute walk. The owner is very helpful, ha gave us lots of useful advice.
The best place for staying. Close to archeological park. Private partaking, great rooms in a pseudo retro style, we had a lovely morning breakfast served to us near our rooms in an adjacent hall. Lovely
Short walking distance from the Herculaneum Ruins; multiple affordable restaurants close by.
Breakfast (croissant + drink) is provided for no additional cost by a small cafe down the street.
Great place, near Herculaneum and Vezuvius. Owner recommended great driver to get us from Napoli Airport, around Ercolano and to Vezuvius. If you don't have a car rely on her driver.
Excellent service. Nice breakfast and lounge area. It is a short walk to the Ercolano Scavi Train Station and right across the street from the Herculaneum ruins.
