Ask your hotel hosts for the right road to Nemi, because the GPS did not always work for me there, as there are many high cliffs that interrupt the ability of the GPS to work right. To Nemi, travel the road through Genzano and around the lake, do not take the “shorter” high road, as you will end up on the wrong side of Nemi, and just have to drive down and around anyway. This happened to me, LOL. Also, that road is extremely narrow. Park at the edge of Nemi, and then walk in. This town is less accessible to those traveling by wheel chair or who have trouble walking up hill. The views over Lake Nemi are breathing taking. It is a fantastic, fabulous, very romantic place with an unforgettable atmosphere and beautiful panoramas. There are paths through the forest of Diana to the lake, to the museum of antique ships.
