The staff were wonderful, especially Annalise who went out of her way to make us feel welcome. Provided a lot of great information on the local area and Taormina. The facility is beautiful, lovely gardens and pool. The rooms were nice, clean, and comfortable. The restaurant located at the hotel was excellent. I will definitely stay here again if I'm near Mt.Etna.

The staff at Shalai is extremely welcoming and friendly. The reception checked us into our room and showed us where everything was located. We were able to park directly out front when we arrived, but later that evening (after our excursion) we parked in public parking less than 50 m. away. The common areas of the hotel are very nice. Plenty of towels, a nice robe and flip flops were a nice touch. We had a room with a balcony. The breakfast was fabulous and the staff at breakfast was welcoming and lovely.

    Liked · If you desire absolute tranquility in the middle of an orange orchard, spacious accommodation with room to yourself and to play and frolic with your children, then La Parrinara is the perfect holiday destination. A private pool, fresh orange juice daily...and a piano! :) You will get a lot of value for the price. If you have a car, it's half an hour to the sea (and beautiful Taormina), 15 minutes to Gole dell'Alcantara, 1.5 hours to Etna... Disliked · There's a few things in the house that need fixing.

    The apartment has spectacular views from all the rooms. Very large ans spacious apartment, fully equipped with all amenities. The owner is very helpful and has an office in the same block which makes her very accessible.
