This superior room with a sea view was very comfortable, large enough, and quiet, despite overlooking one of the main boulevards next to the marina. It was nice to have the opportunity to open the window fully as we desired on occasion. The shower was a comfortable size, and it was nice to have a bidet. The bed was comfortable!

FAQs about hotels in Trieste
On average, 3-star hotels in Trieste cost $97 per night, and 4-star hotels in Trieste are $161 per night. If you're looking for something really special, a 5-star hotel in Trieste can be found for $173 per night, on average (based on Booking.com prices).
The average price per night for a 3-star hotel in Trieste this weekend is $187 or, for a 4-star hotel, $288. Looking for something even fancier? 5-star hotels in Trieste for this weekend cost around $425 per night, on average (based on Booking.com prices).
Near the Slovenian border, Trieste combines the waterside setting of Venice with the elegance of Vienna. The Habsburgs ruled here for over 500 years and built Miramare Castle on a rocky outcrop to the northwest. Their other influences include stately Piazza Unità d’Italia, looking out to sea and spectacularly lit at night.
But this is just a glimpse into Trieste's long and fascinating history. The 1st-century Riccardo Arch hides in a narrow street, and part-way up the hills behind the city center are Roman theater remains, with columns from the Roman forum standing next to San Giusto castle and cathedral.
The most photographed church is Sant’Antonio Nuovo, overlooking a boat-lined canal. The nearby Stock Exchange has a colonnaded façade and its square hosts some of the city’s shops. The most popular cultural attraction is the Revoltella Museum of modern art, while more sobering is Risiera di San Sabba, a former concentration camp near the Palatrieste and Nereo Rocco sports stadiums.
Water sports include windsurfing and kitesurfing from the port which is an important coffee importer. Unsurprisingly, the city’s Viennese-style coffeehouses serve top-quality brews, and the best is reportedly Caffè San Marco, once frequented by famous authors.
Booking.com’s Trieste accommodations include hotels with pools, cheap apartments by the station and B&Bs near Ronchi dei Legionari Airport.

Trieste is fantastic, very walkable, stunning architecture, good shopping, and plenty of excellent places to wine and dine. Public transport is very accessible for anyone wanting a day trip, perhaps if the weather is not cooperating, and it's very easy to hop on the train to visit Venice for a few hours, or to take a bus trip to Slovenia for the day. Trieste is very high on my list of places to return to as often as possible.

Trieste is gorgeous and it`s worth visiting.
Trieste is gorgeous and it`s worth visiting. There are loads to see in the area and you can also visit Croatia, Slovenia, as they are very close. It is easy to go from A to B with public transport (although I found the ticket system far too overcomplicated and be prepared that unless you speak / read Italian you will be a bit lost). Driving is not really recommended for inexperienced drivers as the roads are super steep and most of them are narrow. I would not visit the city with small kids in a buggy, because it can be very frustrating to push a buggy on these narrow / steep streets, but if your kids are older than 6-8 and can walk a lot, it is a great area to explore.

A beautiful coastal city, with fantastic facades and beautiful promenades and squares. Close to good beaches and places worth visiting. An excellent starting point for visiting Venice, Istria, Slovenia... Excellent food in restaurants, which are very affordable (20-50 EUR per person). House wines cost 7 EUR for half a liter, and they are excellent. Extremely well stocked stores.

The location was fabulous and the style was fresh. The stairs in the building were surprisingly beautiful, capturing an old-world construction (likely the original stairs), with a modern paint job on the walls, emphasizing the contrast and increasing the feel of the space - only in Italy ;) Additionally, there was complimentary water and wine in the refrigerator, which was a lovely touch.
Centrally located, close to all the sights, very clean, with all the necessary modern facilities. The communication with the staff was excellent, everything was very well organized. Having breakfast at Caffé degli Specchi was a wonderful choice!
I totally recommend this stylish accommodation and we would definitely choose Elizabeth Boutique Rooms next time we are in Trieste!
We were in Trieste to visit with local friends and this hotel was a good choice for our stay. Well located in the center of town with lots of shops, restaurants and services nearby. Valet parking was a plus. And the a la carte breakfast was top drawer. The suite was enormous and well appointed. We were so pleased with everything about our stay at the Palace Suite.
Friendly staff, fluent in English. Location is great for exploring central Trieste on foot. The hotel bar was nice too for having a relaxing drink before going out. Lots of very good restaurants within 300m radius. Concierge parking is a very nice touch too. Hotel has that unmistakable classic Austro-Hungarian feel, yet is perfectly fit for the 21st century
absolutely first class apartment in the heart of Trieste. gorgeously appointed, super clean, luxurious and comfortable. Excellently stocked kitchen and bath. The host is wonderful. This is the most beautiful and welcoming place we’ve ever stayed in in Italy — and we’ve been traveling to the country for 30+ years.
This was my third stay in this hotel, so that tells quite enough about my impression of Hotel Miramare. It is situated on the outskirts of Triest, but at the seaside and it is very easy to find. Free parking. Very good, abundant breakfast of the buffet type. Very kind and pleasant welcome coctail.
We loved the apartment, it is on a great location, foot distance from everything. We checked in in the Modernist hotel (just around the corner), left them the car (parking in Trieste is very challenging) and the lovely staff walked us to the apartment. The breakfast was delicious.
The property is very clean, comfortable and close to the main attractions. Most importantly, it has the best owner - Marta, who is extremely friendly and always there for you. plus it is cheap considering hotels in Trieste and this makes it the best option in the city.
Hotel is in the centre of Trieste and a few minutes away from the train station.
Breakfast was very good
Staff very friendly.
Rooms spacious and very clean.
Nice and modern hotel.
Highly recommended this hotel!
Thank you for the lovely Stay 😊
We love this hotel! It's outside the big city of Trieste and close to the sea. Breakfast was great, dinner even better, and the staff was just excellent. The view could have been better, but we knew that we only had partial view to the sea.
Pretty close to the sea and the canal. App is spacious and clean. Free parking is next to the app. Communication with staff was excelent. They have great homemade brochure which explains you everything what you need to know about Trieste.
If you are going on a cruise, this is the perfect place to stay as it is within walking distance of the cruise port. The hotel is modern and the staff was wonderful. Just know it's not a luxury hotel and the rooms are small.
Excellent staff. The room was perfect, spacious, clean and well located. The hotel is perfectly located, being very close to the central train station and from the center of the city. Just few meter walking.
A very friendly staff, good breakfast and a very well located parking in front of the hotel.
We got a wonderfull big room with the fireplace.
If you are comming in Trieste with a car, its a good choise.
Breakfast was exceptional, one of the best I had in Italy ever (especially for 3* accommodation). The room is clean and spacious, the staff is friendly and the location couldn't be better.
