The best point is the location, which combines proximity to Colombo, with roughly 1.5 to 2 hour drive to the airport, with a fantastic clean beach location. Day trips to the likes of Bentota (for river cruise, water sports etc), or to Galle are feasible too. Wadduwa is good for a quick getaway to the beach.
Wadduwa is good for a quick getaway to the beach. Not as nice and good for sea-swimming as some of the rest of the South West coast of Sri Lanka, but it's good -- since it's so closeby to Colombo. Only about an hour tops from Colombo on either road. There are some nice villas by the beach with pools which is recommended, since the sea may not be safe for swimming where you are.
