Fantastic little campsite in the middle of the Sri Lankan bush, only accessible by 4WD. Head in here and feel the serenity. With just the two tents it's a small, perfectly-formed operation run by the wonderful host Nero, who not only looks after your every need but whips up amazing meals in his little camp kitchen, served on a table under the stars, with a bonfire to complete the magic. In the morning Nero took us on a safari in the nearby Yala National Park, which was magical at sunrise. Highly recommended.

This is such a special place to stay! We saw loads of wildlife around the property and out on the Safari. We booked two jungle family rooms for our family of 4 and they were spacious, clean and comfortable. The food was decent, drinks were yummy, and the service was great. They don't play music at the pool or restaurants and so you become attuned to all of the nature sounds around you. It's a wonderful place and great value!
"Yakaduru Yala is located on the buffer Zone of Yala National Park. It’s Just 5 minutes away from the Yala National Park Entrance.

We stayed at Yakaduru Lodge and had an amazing time. The lodge is close to Yala National Park, which was great for our morning safari. We saw lots of wild animals like leopards, elephants, and monkeys.
Room was made with natural materials to keep it nice and cool inside. We loved the traditional Sri Lankan food they served, book the BBQ under the stars. This is basic luxury in heaven

We visited Yala for two days (with two separate game drives - one evening and one morning one) and although we enjoyed the animals we observed, we did not have any sightings of leopards despite being the national park with the highest concentration in the world. But that is nature so we were just unlucky on those days. However, the most disappointing aspect of Yala was the sheer number of vehicles allowed into the park at one time. As soon as elephants or leopards are sighted, drivers communicate among themselves and vehicles all rush to the scene creating a massive traffic jams. This makes it feel very mass market and doesn’t seem very respectful of the wildlife

Terrible time. No wild animals as expected.
Terrible time. No wild animals as expected. Roads are all around the jungle which is pretty disturbing to the wild life. After all it is supposed to be a protected zone for wild life. Jeeps are crawling every corner of the territory. Amused to see all of that disturbing scenes in a wild life protected zone. It's like business zone. Poor animals.

I loved Yala.
I loved Yala. The number of different animals seen was slightly disappointing but apparently wash outs due to rain prevented us from accessing some internal roads. The sunrise and scenery were stunning. I would rate it as good value despite the lack of animals. The whole experience was wonderful.

The national park in Yala is beautiful however it is hard to drive around as the roads are poorly maintained. There is a large populatin of birds and i think this safari would suit bird watchers more than those who want to see the elephants. The 6am -6pm safari is too long.
Sigiriya is far superior when it comes to large herds of elephants.

The hike in the nature reserve was amazing, we saw lots of amazing animals and landscapes.
Were lucky and we were able to meet the tiger as well.
It is important to note that the trip should take drinks and food, the hotel staff where we were did not tell us the length of the trip and did not make sure to let us know that we should take care of ourselves.
Of course we were smarter and brought with us the necessary equipment ..
But there were those next to us who did not and that was unfortunate

We stayed at Laya Beach resort which was very beautiful and was very close to our safari's which made our stay even better.
The beach, however, was too rough to swim which was a little disappointing.
This is an incredible hotel that exceeded our expectations in many ways. It is hard to fault - the staff regularly went out of their way to meet our needs. The facilities were exceptional - our family pods were very comfortable and the decor classy and in keeping with safari vibes. Kids loved our private plunge pool!
The spa was fabulous - possibility one of the best massages I have ever had thanks to experienced therapists. The quality of the food and choice at the restaurant can not be faulted.
Amazing service, giving the best effort to make an unique experience.
Despite camping, the rooms seems like a good hotel with large comfortable room.
We stayed one night only, 2 could have been better for the safari and enjoy more the hotel.
It was during our honeymoon and they made sure everything was pretty special.
Special attention from food and beverage manager who seemed to be running the whole place, making sure everything worked out
These villas are amazing! Plenty of room for our family of five. Small property (only two villas) with very attentive service and fantastic manager and staff. Food was great and the surroundings are truly unique - a short trip to Yala and a short walk to the beach (although not safe to swim at the closest one - which was fine as a it was a lovely walk and view.
Amazing!!!
One of my best experiences in Sri lanka!!
Even though a bit expensive, worth every dime!
The facilities are great, a big nice pool that you can also swim up to 21:00,
Room absolutely amazing, I have never experienced something like that
Many monkeys all around , alligators in the lake, and one day an elephant came inside the hotel
Great place to stay if you are wanting to visit Yala for safari. Large rooms, good Sri Lankan food and nice to have the option to use the swimming pool. Good communication with host via WhatsApp He arranged our transfers and an excellent safari trip where we saw elephants. A good base for if you are wanting to visit Yala for safari
This place is perfect if you want to do Yala safaris. We arranged ours through the hotel and was great fun and good value. The room was clean and comfortable with lovely views out across the surrounding countryside. The refreshing welcoming drinks were a great touch. There's an amazing restaurant 5 minutes walk called The Flavour.
The location in nature, the superb rooms, the service and the staff. The personal service and attention to detail, the boutique nature of the property. A special mention has to go to Upul who looked after us like his own - preparing breakfast on the lawn, dinner by the pool and treating us like his family - he is 5 star ! ⭐️
This hotel is equipped with shampoo, shower gel, refrigerator, air conditioner and swimming pool.
The staffs are very friendly and helpful, They took me to see the nearby beach and the temple built in the rocks for free.very thankful.
This place is close to the gate of Yala National Park, the staffs can pack breakfast for you.
Udara's place is absolutely amazing. You have an entire house with comfort for you. Everything is new. Udara and his family are kind and helped us a lot organizing the safari in Yala at a very reasonable price and giving us the best experience. the mother of Udara cooked for us a huge and delicious dinner. thank you Udara
I booked Yakaduru for a one-night safari experience, but it offered much more. Climbing into a treehouse offered breathtaking views of Yala, chena fields, the village, and the beach. The outdoor BBQ dinner was an addition to my experiences. Overall, Yakaduru provided memorable experiences beyond my expectations.
This place is a must if visiting yala! The hosts, the food and the place is just amazing! The rooms are very clean and comfortable , just in the middle of the jungle and can help you get the best Safari available in yala ! Thank you so much for everything!
Excellent location, however far away from city. If one wants to enjoy nature its the place. Yala National Park is just 2 km from the hotel. Amazing view from the hotel. Awesome sea beach. Sumptuous food and menu. They have just made our trip memorable.

Service with a smile, rooms with style! From the moment you arrive, the staff make you feel like a VIP, while the rooms impress with their cleanliness and comfort. A delightful retreat near the national park..
Excellent boutique hotel with 3 rooms, excellent service and meals. The manager had great customer focus, providing a late breakfast/brunch when returning from Yala game park. Dinner by the pool.
Beautiful hotel in a Yala National Park. The food was great, lots of choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner, we were welcomed and looked after by all the friendly staff.
incredible location on the beach and just outside Yala. beach, pool, staff and restaurant all merit five stars, with a bonus for the wildlife that visits the hotel daily
