The hotel was clean and welcoming and we were well looked after, including a fabulous traditional Sri Lankan dinner with more than we could eat and a lovely breakfast the next day. The sea was very rough and not safe to swim at this time of year so we didn’t stay to explore the local area, although it was only a brief first night stopping point on our itinerary. The people working at white rose were really helpful and kind and also helped to carry the luggage and so on. Especially beautiful is the garden. People take care a lot to keep it clean and a huge variety of different trees are present. The room itself was really clean.
