The expensive suite wasn't ready on time (supposed to be ready by 3 pm check in) and smelled quite bad. They called us saying it was ready, then actually had us go to the room while it was still being cleaned. We were then told by the cleaning lady to go into one of the rooms while she finished cleaning. Not well stocked kitchen and not well cared for place, in our opinion.
This eco-friendly, stylish hotel is located in the picturesque harbor town of Svolvær. Wi-Fi access is free on site. Guests can enjoy stunning waterfront and Svolværgeita Mountain views.

Nice and beautiful city with beautiful surroundings.
Nice and beautiful city with beautiful surroundings. I spent few days there before going to explore other ones in Lofoten but it's a perfect place just to walk. There is a big square in the center, few restaurants with delicious local food, some souvenir shops and few big supermarkets. There are also few hiking routes with amazing views from top - definirely a place worth visiting.

A suitable length of stay would depend largely on the time of year.
There are many options for mountain walking in summer, less when snow covers the paths and countryside. Day Trips can be made to explore other scenic towns and villages by the local bus, along the island. Very scenic opportunities for photography with the changes in weather. Interesting short walks around Svolvaer and the harbour, boats, colourful buildings and rocky inlets scenery.

Svolvaer has the iconic architecture and "feel" of the Lofoten Islands but is large enough to have some choice in restaurants and easy access to most services. There are many museums and attractions nearby and just driving through the countryside yields spectacular views. Parking in town is limited and expensive, but the central parking lot is free after 7 PM.

Fantastic holiday in Svolvaer.
Fantastic holiday in Svolvaer. A photographers paradise from Fjord excursions to a road trip further a field.
My key highlights were the RIB Sea Eagles tour with Lofoten Explorers and the 5hr road trip with Lofoten Lights tour operators.
I will definitely be returning to see the Northern lights.

My son and I stayed here due to a change in our itinerary.
My son and I stayed here due to a change in our itinerary. We booked the location because it was close to the airport and it was reasonably priced. On the good side the location was on the water and walking distance to the center of town. The room offered a kitchenette with a table and two beds. One could access the deck overlooking the water. The people working the desk were very helpful, even booking a taxi for us to the airport. The bathroom is shared and the desk is closed at night. You have to walk to town for meals or stop by the nearby Circle K gas station for coffee and/or food if you don’t plan to cook. Rooms were upstairs, and there is no elevator.

Most convenient location for visiting the Lofoten islands.
Most convenient location for visiting the Lofoten islands. The pier for the exceedingly beautiful Trollfjord trip is walking distance from Svinoya.
The enterprising can hike the Djevelporten peak , which has steps for about 50% distance.
Modern fully equipped high end apartment right on the waterfront. It had a bedroom, full well stocked kitchen, and the most comfortable pull out couch I’ve ever slept on. It even had a washer and dryer and the patio was lovely. It was right next to the pier where the tour boats and passenger ferry terminal. It even had warm underground parking and elevators. Great wifi and good lighting. We loved it and it felt like home so we stayed there twice, at the beginning and end of our Lofoten adventure
I had the ground floor apartment, which was very clean and cosy and had everything one needs for a comfortable stay, including a washing machine. Conveniently located close to the city centre. The owner replied even in a super early morning hour when I had an issue with the key box checking out (all on me, there was nothing wrong with the box). A great experience, and considering the generally high prices in Svolvær, pretty good value, too!
We stayed at the sister hotel Scandic Svolvear as this one was closed for the season.
Our room was delightful, overlooking the water and fishing huts across the water. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was well appointed with everything we needed. The balcony was a lovely spot to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet.
The breakfast here was fabulous, and a great opportunity to try local fish and produce.
Excellent location for exploring Svolvær and Lofoten Islands. Host was very responsive and gave good advice when needed. The apartment is small but well set up for a couple. Spotlessly clean, elevator in the building and parking onsite. If you like walking, there is plenty to explore around the town and the Devil’s Gate walk is nearby.
10 am we accept the Access door code, and we are really happy with the early check-in, location very near the airport, suitable for who need to catch the early flight in the morning, the breakfast also nice, even though no much choice, overall is good, very recommended to stay in this hotel.
Very good location within a very short walk from the Hurtigruten Ferry. Beautiful Hotel with a good Dining Area. An exceptionally good breakfast.
Very good bedroom. Good "holiday" facilities, eg separate pizza oven and staff to serve the outside terrace, and a separate floating sauna
We provided our own breakfast. The location is perfectly charming for discovering an authentic Rorbuer. It was easy to walk around and explore or to walk over the bridge for further options of restaurants. The scenery is Lofoten at its most delightful.
The location is good, with a nice view of Svolværgeita. There is a lot of space in the cabin. The kitchen is well equipped, and there are hair dryers. Baths have heating in the floor. There are enough parking spaces (we had two cars).
We had a nice modern room with comfortable bunk beds with a mini kitchen in the room. Nice big kitchen open to everyone which was perfect for breakfast. Walked to the grocery store and dinner. Nice balcony overlooking the water.
The perfect reception by Kurt , friendly and ready to show us all amenities. Beautiful location facing the leisure harbor of Svolvær, the easy access to town centre yet not a noise to be heard apart from the seagulls😁
Really nice hotel in a great location in Svolvaer. Staff were very friendly and helpful in every way. Breakfast was by far the best I had during my week long trip to Lofoten. Would definitely recommend staying here.
The hotel is easy to find. The room was large and clean, as was the bathroom. Free parking out back and on a side street. Close enough to walk to the "downtown" area with restaurants.
We really enjoyed the stay. The location is good. Breakfast is good. The hotel is just walkable distance from city center.
Many restaurants are available near to this hotel.
Amazing view of Svolvær, and walking distance to the harbor area where you find many restaurants.
The beds are very comfortable, and you have a fully equipped kitchen.
Really nice hotel, located near the water. Rooms are very nice and cozy with view to the mountains. The breakfast was really diversified and delicious.
