Our room looked over the parking lot.

A suitable length of stay would depend largely on the time of year.
There are many options for mountain walking in summer, less when snow covers the paths and countryside. Day Trips can be made to explore other scenic towns and villages by the local bus, along the island. Very scenic opportunities for photography with the changes in weather. Interesting short walks around Svolvaer and the harbour, boats, colourful buildings and rocky inlets scenery.

Svolvaer has the iconic architecture and "feel" of the Lofoten Islands but is large enough to have some choice in restaurants and easy access to most services. There are many museums and attractions nearby and just driving through the countryside yields spectacular views. Parking in town is limited and expensive, but the central parking lot is free after 7 PM.

Fantastic holiday in Svolvaer.
Fantastic holiday in Svolvaer. A photographers paradise from Fjord excursions to a road trip further a field.
My key highlights were the RIB Sea Eagles tour with Lofoten Explorers and the 5hr road trip with Lofoten Lights tour operators.
I will definitely be returning to see the Northern lights.

My son and I stayed here due to a change in our itinerary.
My son and I stayed here due to a change in our itinerary. We booked the location because it was close to the airport and it was reasonably priced. On the good side the location was on the water and walking distance to the center of town. The room offered a kitchenette with a table and two beds. One could access the deck overlooking the water. The people working the desk were very helpful, even booking a taxi for us to the airport. The bathroom is shared and the desk is closed at night. You have to walk to town for meals or stop by the nearby Circle K gas station for coffee and/or food if you don’t plan to cook. Rooms were upstairs, and there is no elevator.

Most convenient location for visiting the Lofoten islands.
Most convenient location for visiting the Lofoten islands. The pier for the exceedingly beautiful Trollfjord trip is walking distance from Svinoya.
The enterprising can hike the Djevelporten peak , which has steps for about 50% distance.

Svolvaer is a great pictures town with a bery nice water front.
The restaurants and coffee shops are great and there a lot of activities all around.
We used it as a base camp as we drove all around the amazing Lofoten islands for six days.
The hotel was very comfortable and clean. Our room was spotless. Bed and pillows were comfortable. From the minute we walked in we felt very welcomed by the staff. Amanda was very friendly and helpful. She went above and beyond to find us a place to rent snowshoes. We felt very well taken care of. The breakfast buffet was very impressive. There were many options. The location was great as well! Right on the water! We were able to walk to many places. Overall it was a great stay. Highly recommend booking here!
We were informed this hotel is closed during our stay and they moved our reservation to nearby Scandic Svolvaer which has been such a lovely place to stay! The hotel is situated in a small "islet" and the view of both the rooms and the restaurant/cafe area was stunning! The breakfast was the richest we've ever seen. Even more varied than a Turkish breakfast:) I cannot rate Scandic Svolvaer as my booking remained Vestfjord but I can definitely recommend the one we stayed!
It was a HOME - this was better than any hotel or airbnb I’ve ever stayed. It was so cozy and comfortable and I loved the decor. It truly encapsulated the Nordic concept of Hygge. Facilities-wise, there were all the kitchen utensils, toiletries and laundry to make the entire stay such a pleasant experience. Staying here was half my holiday in Svolvær.
Great ubication within Svolvær centre, very close to the starting points of the majority of the tours, I'm a latin boy, the hotel's personnel speak a very good English, so I could establish communication with them when I needed, the hotel is quiet enough to have a rest, the views from the room balcony were fantastic!
the room was great and beautiful, the bed was very comfortable.
the breakfast was amazing - a grear variety of options to choose from, a lot of fresh and local food and really nice staff.
the location is awesome too! everything could easy be reached within a 5 minute walk.
we were totally happy with the hotel!
Location was lovely, on the Marina- the cabin was well set out and comfortable and we could sit out in the sun. We were really pleased we had chosen this place to stay and explore the area around Svolvær- this area was a highlight of our trip - we were also lucky to see Orca in the bay on a coastal walk
We really recommend staying at this hotel —good accessible location, clean rooms, great communication, and a delicious colourful breakfast await. Plus, they offer luggage storage during the day for free.
Many thanks!
Greetings

The location was fabulous. The building itself and the view gave an iconic Lofoten feel to my stay. The host, Kurt, was extremely helpful and provided a complete overview of the property as well as the town and region. I felt very welcome.
The perfect reception by Kurt , friendly and ready to show us all amenities. Beautiful location facing the leisure harbor of Svolvær, the easy access to town centre yet not a noise to be heard apart from the seagulls😁
The hotel feels like home. It has a fully equipped kitchen and a wash machine. The hotel staff are really nice. It has a nice view of the harbor. Really a nice and cozy place to stay.
The hotel is easy to find. The room was large and clean, as was the bathroom. Free parking out back and on a side street. Close enough to walk to the "downtown" area with restaurants.
Great hotel right on the water and the town square. Our room had a great view of the harbor . Breakfast was excellent and even had a piano player which made everything even better
We have been in Lofoten a couple of times and Svinøya Rorbuer is without a doubt the best place to stay in Svolvær/Lofoten. We stayed in a Rorbusuite XXL and it was excellent!
Nice and simple, clean, spacious room, great location and fine view. We moved from ‘Marina Hotel Lofoten’ to ‘Fast Hotel Svolvær’ and really appreciated this place.
