Property is well maintained, and I liked the room I was staying at. It was sunny and clean! The rooms also had the kettle and coffee, milk, wanted and some cutlery. The bed was ready comfy and I slept well :)

People staff very nice, helpful clear , Restaurant people.... happy 😁 ,speak clear , even spoke some te reo Maori . Will never forget my 1st ever time staying by myself. Please tell Oliva and Wiremu... My daughter smashed it at bball in Nelson and smashed it in Whanganui making thee rising stars.thank you for making this trip even better.

I can recommend Pomeroy's Cafe.on the opposite side of the Square for their delicious matcha laites. Nelson's many art gallerys are enough to satisfy the most avid art lover with the delightful, meandering walk out through Queens Gardens to Nelson's Suter Art Gallery and cafe, always a highlight.

Nelson is a lovely town, with beautiful hanging baskets and old, unique architecture, close to Tahunanui beach, which is lovely. The Saturday market is great and wandering around Nelson town is fun, there are some good small specialty shops. I enjoyed the museum and the Suter Art Gallery and Queens Gardens. Takaka is a must for those who love alternative shops and lovely radiant people. Lake Arnaud is worth a visit. A wine lovers dream area. Harvest resturant was the highlight of the trip. Stunning location service and food.

The Art and Crafts I saw were excellent.
The Art and Crafts I saw were excellent. The Suter Gallery was a highlight, and I enjoyed the Cathedral. I really enjoyed the walk up to "the centre of N.Z" and the views from there. I had some very good food and liked looking at the architecture - e.g the villas and transitional villas in The Brook. Founders Park and Miyazu Japanese Garden were great. Also, having a craft beer at "The Free House", a church that has been converted into a drinking place( and painted with fun colours) was wonderful.

Friendliness and facilities were so nice.We had a lovely balcony with table and chairs.Near the beach.The lady I Ispoke to on the phone requesting a bath also came to greet us and she remembered me from our phone call and said enjoy your bath you deserve it. She must have remembered when I spoke to her previously we were going to be tired as we had come from a month of entertaining friends and family. This got us off to a great start.Then we were so happy to see how lovely our unit was.A Wonderful stay

The hostess was lovely and was available at all times to answer any questions, and she was very helpful. It was a very handy location as we did some biking and walking, even walking to Nelson and back. Plenty of restaurants that are handy. We also did a lot of day tripping in the car and the room was our base. We did pay a little extra to have a separate bedroom from the lounge, which was a good move.MichaelNew Zealand

The house itself is older but well taken care of and has so much character. The garden is phenomenal, and I would do my stretches there in the evening after wonderful full days of exploring the Nelson area. My room also had a toaster oven so it was quite nice to have the option to do some falafel salad dinners in the room to save on eating out all the time.

The owner personally introduced himself and clearly takes a lot of pride in the property. It is so nice to stay at a modern motel with double glazing and insulation. The combination of high pressure water and a shower dome makes the shower almost too warm! Our room was serviced every day of our stay. We stayed on two separate occasions, before and after a multi-day trip through the Abel Tasman national park. The staff enabled us to take our room keys after normal check-in time. The rooms vary a lot in size but are always clean. A big plus is the proximity to Nelson airport, we were able to walk there with our luggage and could thus avoid the taxi fair.

The apartment that we rented out was spacious, perfectly clean, and nicely furnished including up to date amenities. The delicious breakfast is freshly cooked by Mark, the host, and served in the main house's dining room. Speaking of which, the furnishing of the main house is impressive to say the least, with something interesting to see everywhere you look.

The staff were superb, the location is amazing, surrounded on 3 sides with water. Lovely gardens to walk in, the food was excellent quality and great value.
