Wonderful location. Good communications with the hotel. Spacious and warm room(warm enough but the hotel still provided a heater). Bathroom was spacious too with nice shower water and hairdryer, etc. Friendly front desk. Nice breakfast. The beds were comfortable.

The location was so close to the plaza. Had heaters in the room. The shower was so hot and strong pressure— truly enjoyed after two weeks of lukewarm water and rain showers in Lima. The staff was very helpful. The included breakfast in the morning was basic buffet, but tasty. They offered scrambled eggs and a salchipapa, they would also make a fried egg if you liked.

The staff is super friendly. They prepared hot water bottles for us because we were so cold one evening. Free tea is available all day in the lobby. The rooms were clean and the location is very central. We were able to leave our luggage in storage after checking out. Breakfast includes fresh juice, tea, coffee, bread, eggs, jam, butter, and some fruit.

The place was clean and comfortable. The location was only a 10 minute walk to the Plaza de Armas and quiet but along the way there were many restaurants that were a lot less expensive than the ones right by the plaza. The first night I got there, there was just a trickle of hot water from the shower. The next day, I had no issues with the water. There was a space heater in the room and lots of heavy wool blankets on the bed. There was no hairdryer as stated in the description. Breakfast was light…a couple of tablespoons of sliced fruit, tea (no milk), two pieces of bread, a few slices of small cheese and two very small slices of ham. I asked for fried eggs and they were very accommodating and made me a fried egg.

    We stayed in Puno for two nights and it was perfect for visiting Lake Titicaca. The town itself is simple but has everything you need—restaurants, shops, and easy access to the lake tours. The experience on the lake, especially visiting the Uros floating islands and Taquile Island, was unforgettable. A great stop on our Peru trip!

    I like the Plaza de Armas and the restaurants in the city, good prices and a lot of little markets with a very reasonable prices. The hotels were also reasonable. I would avoid to sleep in the islands just visit for a day but not stay, specially during winter due to the very cold weather and most of the hotels do not provide a heater unless you request.

    Puno is awesome.

    Puno is awesome. In addition to visiting the Uros community and other areas of Lake Titicaca, it is also a great small town with amazingly friendly and helpful people. The one problem, though, is altitude sickness.

    Puno is a great city.

    Puno is a great city. I like the view on the lake and the Uros/Taquile Islands. I would go back in a heart beat. The city itself is easy to access but due to higher elevation, I could only walk very short distances before being tired.

    It is worth going to the lake in Puno since it is the highest navigable lake in the world and is also unique because of the islands made of reed. It was interesting seeing the lifestyles of the people living on these lakes. The food served as part of the tour was good, but getting to the restaurant was challenging since the climb up to the restaurant was quite steep. The overall experience was very good.

    Access to Lake Titicaca, Uros, Amantani & Taquile islands. The city itself is not very interesting, nice main square with a cathedral and few goods restaurants (Mojsa at the bottom of the Main square was really excellent, full of international travelers...). Did not have much time to climb on the nearby hills to have a panoramic view of the Puno & Titicaca. Spent two-day / one-night trip to Uros / Amantani / Taquile islands (overnight at Amantani with a local family), very interesting and very down-to-earth, but we all enjoyed the boat trip, Uros, dancing in local costumes & sunset from the top of Amantani (made it with our 8-year old daughter), as well as the next day at Taquile island. The following night we spent at Uros with Felix (Uros Amaru Marka Lodge) was excellent !

    The owner (Gonzalo) contacted us in advance to Organise the checkin. He was very helpful and friendly throughout our stay and even helped us with organizing SIM-cards for our stay in Peru. The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed a good night of sleep and a very good breakfast in the morning with fresh fruits, avocado and bread. We will gladly come back if we’re in Puno again :)

    A unique overnight experience on Lake Titicaca. The family gave us a very warm welcome and we felt at home right from the start. The guided tour of the Uros islands by the family was very interesting and included in the price. We can really recommend it to anyone. One of the best experiences in Peru.
