The city is lovely, and the nature is great; greenery is everywhere! Has tons of museums, historical places to visit, and things to do. Shopping is also top-notch. Almost nothing is in English, though. It feels like they made everything tourist-friendly, but they didn't mean it. The people there seem to dislike communication in any form. Only a few speak English, which is weird when working in the tourism industry; they make no effort to communicate verbally or non-verbally. Felt like a very nice city populated by robots. That is, until they get drunk, which they do, all the time, kinda sad. There is a lovely main square with beautiful buildings, spoilt for choice in terms of restaurants and bars which were all very good, there is plenty to do in this city from wandering around the safe streets of the centre to enjoying the beautiful green spaces of the parks and the lake. As the trip was short, we didn't use public transport but the tram system is great and Poznan is well connected to other cities and countries. So many interesting museums to visit and learn about the history and as mentioned earlier, it is a foodie's paradise. There is something for everyone in this city and it has a nice vibe without being too busy as some of the other European cities can be. Amazing magical city. Must visit, go see places, , take a walk in one of many beautiful parks, kick back over a delicious coffee and wonderful pastries, go shopping for nice stuff at premium prices or chat with friendly, well rounded and cosmopolitan Poles. Easy to access by bus. On the way there, you can take the bus 159 and get out at the airport and walk for 5-6 minutes (you are crossing the road), and on the way back to the city you can take the same bus literally one minute away from the hotel. Lady in the reception was also very kind and helpful. Rooms and bathrooms are comfy and very large. Comfortable beds.
