Basic accommodation but good value for what you get.
Decent breakfast.
Comfortable room, adequately sized, with a small but fully functional bathroom.
Stunning views from the property (not from the room)

If you are looking for a secluded, quiet, holiday with nothing but the beach, and a golf course, then this is perfect, but there were no bars, cafes, shops, chemist, taxi rank or local bus service, so without a car you are pretty much stranded. The resort was very large, but a lot of the apartments and beautiful villas were locked up and empty, we hardly saw a soul in the week spent there, 15 minutes drive to the nearest town or an hour and half walking, if you want blisters! Visit Ferrel and Baleal for a laid back surf vibe,
If you want supplies then it’s Serra del Rey or Peniche,

The Beachfront is exactly what it sets out to be.
The Beachfront is exactly what it sets out to be. Very comfortable accommodation within steps of a great beach. Need a car as even the facilities of Marriott Hotel are quite a long walk. However, if you want good quality, spacious and well equipped accommodation with good views, a seafood restaurant and a small shop on site, its perfect. Less than 50miles from Lisbon, Obidos only a few miles away. Great place to wind down. I will likely return

You need a car.
You need a car. The area is stunningly beautiful with miles of white sandy beaches. Some days the surf is too fierce for sea swimming but Obidos Lagoon provides a safe and calm place to keep cool.
My son is a manual wheelchair user so the cobbled pavements were a little hard work but not un-manageable. We were only there for one week but would like to do a longer trip and review/report on accessible beaches. We went to the lagoon and carried him to the water - luckily we could do that between us.
A couple of us walked on the beach from Praia Del Rey to Obidos Lagoon and had a nice meal at Rio Cortico Lagoa - nice fresh caught fish of the day :)
Taxi's were great and locals are really friendly and helpful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff are outstanding, breakfast was great and the ocean view room was just wonderful. We loved having the option of both pools and the Turkish bath depending on the weather. The position of the hotel on this breathtaking stretch of the coast was the icing on the cake. We thought the atmosphere was lovely - whilst it is a luxury hotel, it also feels laid back.
We're coming back to the area in spring and we already know where we will be staying. Thank you!
The hotel was great. Rooms are big and well appointed. The hotel pool is wonderful. Plenty of sunbeds so no need to fight for them in the morning! Pool was pleasantly warm unlike many cold pools in Portugal! The beach was beautiful, the ocean was freezing even in August! Food at the hotel was good, but expensive. If you have a car, there are restaurants within a 10-15 minute ride. We enjoyed our time!
The hotel is located on a great spot with well maintained gardens, large swimming pool with chairs and with direct access to a large, untouched beach. Rooms are large and balcony facing the sea is well appreciated to enjoy beautiful sunset. The personnel is good and attentive. Thumb up to the team and Chef at the Gastro restaurant.
The hotel its fine, I was expecting a little more out of an 5* hotel , I did stay at the hotel and not the Appartments, so my comments are about that. I need to say despite the food took to long to serve the waitresses were really nice, always with a happy face and the food was really good. Breakfast is just regular continental.
The hotel was as described and well represented. The property was very comfortable, clean, and well-equipped. The waves were too strong for a swim but the view of the sea was amazing. Good food and service at the restaurant on-site although a little pricey. A very nice stay.
We stayed only one night as part of our Portugal roadtrip. This hotel is faboulous. Breattaking location at the ocean, can hear the waves in the room. Interesting restaurans with new Portugese cusine. Staff is great, super clean. A stay to remember. Thank you!
We loved our stay at the resort, the views from the ocean view rooms were stunning! Loved waking up to the ocean. The beds were super comfortable, everything was nicely decorated and loved the large bathtub. The staff were so friendly too at the hotel.
sometimes it is enough to have one stuff person who is taking care of you and is making your experience in the hotel to be perfect. This time it was Catherine who made everything perfect.
thanks for everything
