The hotel is at a very nice location and offers small houses with a little terrace and a fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher and washing machine. The room was serviced every three days, which we found to be pleasantly unintrusive and also good for the environment.

As it was presented, there was very little to like about Villa 42 apart from the location. it could be so nice but the owner needs to address numerous issues.

It was one of best places I have been to. Very clean, organized and very well equiped. 2 terraces where we could chill after day on the beach. Each room had very comfortable beds. Check in and check out easy and the host was responsive. I recommend this place to family (even with the baby as it had extra bed for a kid).

You need a rental car unless you want to stay entirely in the hotel. Limited supermarket in walking distance for beverages and chips. In 2,5km distance at the entrance of the resort is shopping Center with a more equipped supermarket.

Quinta do Lago was just beautiful, very high end with plenty...
Quinta do Lago was just beautiful, very high end with plenty of good restaurants to choose from. We were there primarily for golf and the South Course of Quinta do Lago was stunning. Plenty of amazing houses around the course to keep me entertained when I wasn't watching the golf.
We ate out at a variety of different restaurants, Bovinos, Paixa, Tony's, Casa do Lago and The Cheeky Pup, all very different from the next, but all served up top quality food and had a great atmosphere, even at the beginning of November when I would have expected things to have quietened down.
We walked a fair bit around Quinta and I found it exceptionally clean and well tended to. I will definitely be back.

The hotel itself was good, but the location dreadful.
The hotel itself was good, but the location dreadful. The noise of airplanes taking off and landing every few minutes was constant from 6am. They were flying so low you could read the name of the airline with no difficulty. Perhaps would make a good de luxe airport hotel, but not a peaceful holiday hotel. On that basis would not recommend or return.

This is an upmarket area in the Algarve.
This is an upmarket area in the Algarve. It is well maintained and a lovely place to relax. The Ria Formosa national park, which is nearby, is a beautiful place to walk and watch nature. If you are a golfer, this is a great place to stay, although playing golf here is expensive.
The roads are clean and easy to get around. One of the best restaurants in the area is the Green Valley, which I highly recommend. There are several others offering good quality food.

The hotels location was perfect and has a long boardwalk built through the nature reserve which allows access to the beach and various good fun restaurants.
The Bold Octopus being one is definitely worth a visit. We were lucky enough to drop in late one afternoon to sit on the roof terrace with a drink and enjoy live music. We returned one evening to eat there and the seafood menu was very good.
Julia’s beach at the end of the boardwalk has a variety of beach bars and restaurants which are definitely work the ride (or long walk) to visit.
We decided not to rent a car and use bikes rented from the hotel which proved to be perfectly adequate for sight seeing, visiting shops and restaurants.
Hotel Quinta do Lago was beautifully furnished, had a wonderful pool with a good many sun beds for all of the guests and a fabulous breakfast!! Our room had a large sea view balcony and was spacious and well equipped.
The bathroom was also very spacious, scrupulously clean and well stocked with products.
The hotel staff made our stay with their friendliness and their willingness to help in every way possible.
Can’t wait to go back
Room was stunning. Pools were lovely but cold! the best pool was the spa indoor and infinity pool, these were much warmer. We absolutely loved the hydro pool and the whole spa in general was amazing, I had the best pregnancy massage I’ve ever had, it is on the pricey side though. Breakfast was delicious! The staff are incredible here, so attentive and friendly, super helpful and seem to remember everyone’s names which for a hotel of that size is very impressive. Overall we had a wonderful stay and will definitely be retuning.
We’ve stayed at vilar do golf numerous times and love the resort. The staff, location and amenities are all brilliant. We appreciate all the villas are different and some are more modern than others. We stayed in villa 179 and it was very old fashioned, the bathrooms had been updated and were lovely, but the beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable and our kettle didn’t work. It was replaced immediately however. Overall we had a lovely stay, we just wouldn’t want to stay in that particular villa again.
Apartment was recently renovated and up to date inside, while looking traditionally Portuguese on the outside. Very clean with great space and brilliant shower facilities. Good sized TV with Netflix etc. Great kitchen area if cooking on holidays is your thing. The pool area is great and the pool is very clean. There is a small restaurant at the pool for food/drink while sunbathing which is handy.
Over all very enjoyable with some beautiful restaurants in Quinta. Ideal for a couples break.
This was one of the best places I've ever stayed in Portugal. The house is set in a very pristine area with all of the amenities that you expect in your place of stay. Vida is the owner of this house, and she will welcome all visitors about the house with a total walk through to make sure you are confident in the house and the amenities that comes with it.
the townhouse was clean, comfortable and spacious. It had everything needed in the kitchen for laundry and beach towels. lots of good restaurants nearby and grocery stores. loved the location for day trip excursions. the beach was gorgeous. Susana was very attentive and responsive to any needs. We would definitely recommend to family and friends!
We enjoyed everything during our stay. The breakfast options we first class, the hotel restaurant was very good and we ate here a couple of times during our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Reception staff were fantastic and no request was too much for them. Having the always available taxi service was a big plus for us too.
Location was great, close to the Quinta do Lago amenities, hotels, cycle paths and the beach
The apartment was spacious, nicely decorated and furnished. The bed was very comfortable with feather bedding and 100% cotton linens which I really like. The AC and blackout curtains made sleeping comfortable.
I had a fantastic stay here. It's a very clean hotel in a fantastic location. The breakfast is great, the staff are very helpful and friendly, they have a 24/7 reception, you can hire bikes for free and the beds are comfortable. And Quinta do Lago is one of the most beautiful places I've visited!
The villa was absolutely fantastic. Every aspect of it was exceptional. The staff, particularly the lady in the restaurant, were incredibly professional. The villa also boasted a fully equipped kitchen, they are providing guests with excellent facilities throughout their stay.
A lovely hotel and great location. Friendly staff and food was excellent. Loved all the channels on the tv - like all the sports channels. Lovely pool and free parking which we requested. Lovely comfy beds - gorgeous pillows. Would definitely recommend.
Villa lovely and clean, gardens and grounds kept really well and staff very very good - excellent with kids. Pool very nice - location is great - Quinta do lago brilliant with fabulous restaurants.
Very clean property and very comfortable all round. within walking distance to The Shack and a couple of other restaurants - otherwise you need a car or Uber (as most places in Quinta do Lago).
The property was as described. Lovely modern apartment in a quiet location.
Loved the carpet in the bedroom and the comfy lounge area ( like home from home)
