My schedule was so busy I didn’t get to spend enough time at this really charming hotel. I would absolutely stay here again, but plan to relax at the hotel, a bit more and enjoy the breakfast in the dining area. The proximity to the ocean is perfect and there are of variety of services and other restaurants nearby but the restaurant at the hotel is very nice. The rooms have beautiful wooden furniture and nice crisp linens. I had to leave very early for the airport one morning and the staff was kind enough to pack me a little lunch and I have coffee ready for me at 4 AM. Thank you so much for accommodating me.

The area had a place to shop and food outlets and was within easy walking distance of Porto's main centre. One huge advantage is that, being at a higher level, when you walk across the bridge (or catch the metro across) to the North side of the river, you are almost at the top of Porto, which saves a long climb.
There are also interesting sights and sites in Vila Nova de Gaia itself, such as the monastery and the views over the Douro to Porto. The monastery was shut when we went but may be open later. Mostly we went further afield so I cannot comment on much that was there. The Jardim de Morro is worth a visit, especially if you like live music performers and good views.

VNDG gives the most amazing views of Porto.
VNDG gives the most amazing views of Porto. A short walk across the bridge to the city. Its flat where I stayed but the city is very steep with lots of steps so wear sneakers. The tiled churches as stunning. Doing all the touristy things - I caught the cable car, the tram, the furnicular, shopped the markets, visited the churches, climbed the tower, booked for the Livraria Lella, had a glass of wine at the market, went to wine bars, Time Out market for dinner and Portuguese tarts with coffee.
I had a fabulous time and visited World of Wine as Porto is a Great Wine Capital.

Beautiful part of Porto, right over the river with plenty to do. Most of the Porto wine "caves" are on this side of the river but getting across is a quick uber ride. We did a Tuk Tuk tour as well and got to enjoy a Fado performance at night. New Years Eve dinner cruise was great but book ahead so you don't miss out! I would definitely visit again!

The area has plenty of interesting things to visit.
The area has plenty of interesting things to visit. Of course, the region is very well known for the vineyards and the respective Port wine cellars, which you can visit and even have a wine tasting. A walk by the river is also recommended.

This hotel had everything. A bar, garden terrace and beautiful lounge accessible at all times. Our room was spacious with a palatial bathroom. The building facade hid what was a stunning architectural oasis within. A blend of old and new, very tastefully and respectfully done. The breakfast every morning was wonderful. But above all, the staff would do anything they could to assist, answer questions and advise about the wonderful city of Oporto. It will be the yardstick for all other places we stay. Amazing.
The staff was extremly friendly and welcome upon my arrival at the hotel. I have selected a specified check-in, however, I arrived earlier in Porto since my Alfa Pendular met the scheduled arrival time. Even tho, they checked me in an hour before my requested time and didn't charge any extra.
The hotel location (Coimbrões) can offer a vast number of buses and trains to Porto-Campanhã or Gaia. You can do a 20 minutes walk to Gaia-Devesas station, which isn't that far from the hotel.
Everything, best location in Porto, the staff were amazing from the young man who walked to the garage door to help us park our car, then carried our bags, the young girl who gave us tips on the best boat trip and the excellent friendly service at checkin/out and wonderful people at the incredible sky bar. Then there is the food and the view all first class! One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in and definitely the best location in Porto with parking, worth every cent !!
Beautifully designed hotel off the main tourist area but close enough to walk to. Attention to detail is outstanding. We had a room with a beautiful view of the Duro River and Porto. We enjoyed a night cap at the rooftop patio. The staff where very attentive and helpful not to mention the welcome treats were a special touch. Very comfortable beds and linens. Highly recommend staying here.
We choose this Hotel because it's close to the City Centre of Porto, with a compartively bigger room and also has parking slot, which is important to us.
The room is comfortable although it's not a very cheap room.
It's close to a shopping mall, but we don't have time to take a look in final.
It's good to have an indoor parking slot, we don't mind to paid extra for this service.
Everything. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and kindly let us store our bags for a few hours after checking out. The hotel had a quiet ambience, was spotlessly clean and we slept well on the huge, comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent and location is ideal too. We very much hope to stay again next time we're in Porto.
The view from the hotel outdoor platforms is amazing. Different floors offer slightly different viewing angles.. The hallway of each floor has themed exhibits which is very educational, providing interesting information. The breakfast is awesome, the coffee latte with a picture of Porto historical place on top is a pleasant surprise!
Bedrooms are lovely , very quiet, great linen , comfortable beds, Lovely design throughout hotel . Fabulous breakfast - great views and design of restaurant. Staff are lovely everywhere in hotel . The hotel and bedrooms also smell lovely . Would highly recommended and will stay again if we come back to Porto.
The hotel was good in all ways. The staff were brilliant. Very welcoming and helpful from reception to the bar and restaurant and housekeeping. A lovely two night stay. Free parking was a bonus and the taxi ride into Porto centre was €12. The garden and outdoor pool area was like an oasis.
I liked the view from kitchen, the location is next to metro, internet was great, price was good. The only breakfast items were a coffee capsule machine, tea, packaged individual bread rolls. Porto is beautiful & so much to see! Elevator was convenient. Hop on/off bus right outside of building
Very cute and clean apartment in a quiet and easy location to explore Vila Nova de Gaia and Porto! AC in every room ensured for maximum comfort. Easy check in/check out process. Tons of things to eat and do moments outside our door. Paolo was responsive and helpful before and during our stay.
The location is excellent! Fabulous views of Vila Nova de Gaia, Porto, and the Douro River. Right by Jardim do Morro. Most places you'd care to visit are walkable and if you don't want to walk, it's 5 minutes to excellent public transportation. The apartment was clean and well furnished.
Honestly the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The decor was really cool, the room was perfect and the view of Porto was incredible. All of the staff were lovely and we were treated so well for our anniversary. We have already looked into dates to book again!
We had a car and bikes. Was a fabulous location in the old fishing village!! Our balcony overlooked the street which was perfect. The neighbourhood felt authentic and there was easy access to Porto and all the main sites. Cool modern well laid out suite
The Yeatman has the best view over Porto. The hotel is sprawling and absolutely luxurious. The staff are exceptional and the pool overlooks the river. The bed is extremely comfortable. It is expensive but if you can, it is well worth it.
Carla the host was absolutely incredible! every hotel needs someone like her for the best tips for the city!
The property exceeded my expectations offering the best views of Porto from our bedroom!
I would definitely stay again!
The location was superb, in the very heart of the Vila Nova de Gaia's seafront and surrounded by its wonderful historical buildings. Wonderful sights to OPorto provided from its rooftop terraces, great opportunity for networking.
Exceptional location. Near Jardim do Morro and the monastery. Near a lot of Porto sights. We had all the necessary facilities for our stay including dishwasher, hairdryer etc. Place was clean and comfortable
