Dear Hilton Guest Assistance, I am writing to request a partial refund for my recent stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Boston North Shore, located at 50 Ferncroft Road, Danvers, Massachusetts. My reservation was from August 3 to August 4, 2025, confirmation number 93680325, Room 825. This hotel was selected because it advertised a swimming pool, which was not available during my stay. I was only informed upon arrival that the pool was closed. This amenity was the main reason I chose the property, and its unavailability significantly reduced the value of my stay. Additionally, I was told that continental breakfast was included. However, my folio shows a charge of 36.25 at the Tradewinds Restaurant, with only a 22.51 credit listed as "breakfast included." I did not eat breakfast, was not informed of where or how to claim it, and did not authorize any restaurant charges. I was still charged 13.74 for a service I did not use. Between the closed pool and the improper breakfast charge, I am requesting a partial refund or equivalent Hilton Honors compensation for the services that were not provided as promised.

The breakfast wasn’t great: bagels hard, coffee ran out by 7:30 Saturday morning and no lids for coffee cups. However, the staff was excellent and replaced the coffee ASAP and looked everywhere for the lids. They were friendlier than any other hotel I’ve stayed in.

Have always stayed at Danvers due to its ready access to roads and train in Salem going to spots I want to Visit - Boston, Gloucester, Rockport, Marblehead etc. Haven’ really visited Danvers, actually. Used to stay at nearby Towneplace Suites which has changed hands and brand. Have stayed at several other Best Western Plus hotels and found them nice. These facilities and especially the staff made this stay enjoyable.Really impressed with the staff who all seemed very happy to be working there and wanted to help however they could. Highly recommend the Duckboat tour in Boston, 7 Seas Whaleboat tour in Gloucester, Freedom Trail, History walking tour in Salem, visiting Marblehead, JFK Library, Acquarium, overdosing on cannolis, Italian food in North End- the list is endless.

It was away from busy Salem and in a nice quiet area.

It was away from busy Salem and in a nice quiet area. A short commute to Salem each day to enjoy the attractions. We ate at Turner Seafood in Salem and Red's Sandwich Shop and both were excellent. Ask for the history of both locations. Red's was particularly interesting! It was pretty darn handy to have Target just across the parking lot. The flowers on the hotel property were gorgeous and burgeoning at the end of August. Parking was easy and I appreciated that it was free. It sounds like Sonesta is jumping on the bandwagon and will be charging $5-/day for parking, which is a shame since their parking is so prevalent and they are 20 minutes away from the main attraction, which is Salem.

Danvers is very close to Salem and the accommodations at Sonesta were fantastic. We were so close we decided to Uber/Lift back and forth to the hotel. We were right next door to a shopping center/Mall/restaurants. We definitely would recommend staying in Danvers.

A great jumping off point is you are a history buff. Danvers was the historic Salem Village in the 16th, early 17th century, They changed the name when township was granted and to try to get away from the bad press of the witchcraft events.

Comfortable bed configuration , the couch allows to sit and watch TV not in the bed. The bathroom is very comfortable, clean and modern looking. The pool looks decent, unfortunately we were not able to visit it (closed early). Big free parking. -There is a waterpark that is connected to the hotel, but it seems that it is more oriented on small children. - it was nice to get a warm cookie on the check-in

Very friendly, helpful front desk staff. Our room was quite large, very clean and comfortable with good facilities. Breakfast was good and varied for this type of hotel. We didn't use the pool but it looked very clean and well maintained. Lots of on site parking.
