Also great for shopping are Horton Plaza and the boutiques in the beachfront neighborhoods.

If you're a smoker you may as well stay away from San Diego, the beaches were crowded and not a lot of places to sit. Everything is expensive. A few good points were there were a lot of restaurants, there was I believe a couple of amusement parks but we didn't attend those. Mission Bay has a lot of really cool seashells if you love to hunt for seashells

Very friendly city, with lots of very good facilities.
But things quite expensive.
As with a lot of places visited worldwide, travellers arriving at airport get ripped off by taxi drivers taking them from airport to hotel.
Rates ought to be clearly displayed so travellers can then make their choice.

The city appears clean, uncluttered, with lots of green space, beautiful flowering shrubs, flowers, palm trees, and beaches. We've visited before; this time we were in town for graduation at Point Loma Nazarene University, and enjoyed our stay. Balboa Park is amazing, and we attended an organ concert there last time.
I was in San Diego for a conference in the convention center. I was looking for an affordable place which is close to the center. With this accommodation I found exactly what I wanted. My room was really big and offered everything I needed. Also that the hotel is situated in the gaslamp quater was really nice, since you did not have to walk too far at night after dinner and drinks. Finally, I think the staff is doing a really great job! They were super nice and helpful, always in a good mood and made you a feel safe and welcome.
My son and his wife stayed here a few months ago and highly recommended this motel. Motel is very basic but extremely clean which is a must for me when traveling. We traveled to San Diego area and Del Cornado so the location was just fine. A/C a little loud but at least it worked well. Hard to believe only 6 parking spots for hotel but we were able to find free public parking on the street. Great place to drop your bags and hit the town. Oh, can't beat the price.
Location is great if you want to visit a lot of places in San Diego since the nearby Old Town Transit Center will get you anywhere in a short amount of time. There's even a free airport shuttle bus that stops right next to the hotel.
There's a small pool that is available from 7 AM to 10 PM so you can can even go for a swim in the evening.
Rooms are decent, no real complaints there...
We arrived earlier than check-in and the front desk representative was able to get us into a room. This allowed us more time to explore Old Town San Diego. She was so friendly and provided us with information on thing to see and do.
We loved the area, hotel and all the amenities it provides its guest. We would definitely stay there again and recommend to our friends and family.
Anybody who has wrote a review and complained about this hotel is insane. This place is the biggest bang for your buck in probably all of San Diego county. The location is amazing, staff is outstanding and the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Amazing amenities next to the pool. I’m very thankful I took this chance after reading some of the reviews.
Location. For the same cost as a room on hotel circle, Old Town Inn is located adjacent to Old Town and the public transportation station. Minutes from airport or downtown or a short walk into Old Town. This is an older property and the rooms could use an update but, ours was clean, comfortable and quiet. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful!
The room was spotless clean and very big. The bed was very comfortable.
The hotel, from the outside, looks a little outdated but the room was really nice and had everything I needed. I will definitively stay here again.
Downtown San Diego is just 10 min away.
Great option whenever you visit beautiful San Diego.
Great location to be able to dip into busy downtown San Diego but then come back and relax away from the noise. Kids loved the pools and beach just outside the room. The food at the hotel eateries was very good as well. Overall great for families.
The position in San Diego and the large bathroom, bigger than the bedroom. The possibility of free parking was one of the reason why we choose the hotel. The complimentary breakfast is a plus although I have eaten only bread and coffe.
Staying at this hotel has been a wonderful experience. Sam was very helpful as has the other desk clerk. I will definitely stay here again. The location is very much convenient to downtown San Diego attractions.
The Horton Gran Hotel was located in a perfect location close to many San Diego attractions. It is within walking distance of the convention center and many restaurants in the Gaslamp District.
The hotel was in a great location. It was walking distance to all of downtown San Diego and all of the things we wanted to do. The majority of the staff were friendly and helpful
The receptionist was very helpful.
If you want to explore Downtown San Diego, the location was quite good.
There are parking lots next to the hotel in price of $6/night.
The room was impeccably clean, the surroundings were quiet, and I was pleasantly surprised by all the services offered at the Days Inn by Wyndham San Diego Hotel Circle.
It is one of the more reasonably priced hotels in downtown san diego, the room had a kitchenette also so you can save money by cooking your own food if you feel like it
Hotel is centrally located in San Diego. Rooms were well presented and spacious. City view from the room balcony was superb. Airport shuttle was appreciated.
