Paia Inn, hotel in Paia

Located on Maui's North Shore, this boutique property in Paia town offers access to 3 miles of white sand beach, relaxing amenities and convenient access to a wide range of activities.

The property was a small boutique hotel in the middle of town, walking distance from food and small shops. There was also a private walkout beach behind the hotel. The staff was friendly and did take time to show us around the place to make sure we knew the area in case we needed anything. There was main area upstairs that had free espresso and coffee for in the morning also had water.

Maui Beach Hotel, hotel in Paia

The Maui Beach Hotel features an outdoor pool and is 2 miles from Kanaha Beach Park. A cable TV is included in each air-conditioned room at Maui Beach Hotel.

The only thing that went well was that I was able to check out and obtain a full refund due to Booking.com understanding that the health and safety of the hotel was unacceptable.

Nice selection of shops and a few good restaurants.

Nice selection of shops and a few good restaurants. Shops all close at 6 pm. More breakfast places would be nice. Parking can be challenging. I did enjoy the town but I probably will not return to Paia. It was more crowded than expected.

We liked that we were in a small hotel in a small 'touristy' town. The location is almost ideal for travel to Hana and the National park. The unit was spacious and more than adequate for short stays. There is no TV in the unit which was fine with us. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel and we had breakfast there but it is open into the early evening. The small town is full of "cute" stores and other casual eating choices with just a short walk. The only drawback is the traffic backup at the single traffic light. It can take 5-10 minutes to get thru the light.

Excellent shopping and restaurants, beautiful beaches.

Excellent shopping and restaurants, beautiful beaches. Mana health foods was excellent for those who don't want to spend the money going out for every meal. They have a huge variety of food including a hot bar. SO many great shops, and cafe's too.

Paia is a great place to stay one night before your drive the road to Hana. Other than that, there really isn't much to do in the town. There are better beaches in Maui. We stayed 3 nights and could've done just one and been fine.

Great base for exploring the island but rental car is a must...

Great base for exploring the island but rental car is a must. Loved the artsy vibe and small town feel. Lots of shopping in small stores if that is what you enjoy and choice of excellent, laid back restaurants. For groceries (and organic food) go to Mana; the store is very reasonable. Close to good surfing beaches and lots of hiking. If visiting, park you car at the entrance of town and walk.

Paia Inn was the perfect first night for us on Maui. Lucy was so welcoming, showing us to our room and explaining all the amenities that the inn provided. The kombucha was a nice treat for us too! There was live music from the restaurant at the back of the inn, and a lovely private walkway that was lit by string lights that led to a fire pit above the beach. The room was cozy, and charming, and the comfy bed was just what we needed after traveling 13 hours from Chicago. It was just perfection! Thank you❤️

Rooms are not that big, but it was lovingly furnished and staff was super friendly. Access to the beach was awesome and a nice place to relax and drink some beers. if you are lucky you will find some cute surprises laying at the beach. Leaving Paia Inn and this lovely place made us really sad. For us first choice once we will be back. Why Paia? It is not Lahaina, but super central for whole Maui. You reach every place in relatively short time.

Great spacious flat with comfortable bed and very well equiped kitchen and living room. Very clean. We had access to beach equipements (seats, towels) and there was a very nice beach just near the condo (we saw turtles!). The airport and Paia are easily accessible by car. We had a free parking spot just in front of the condo.

It was a last minute reservation but the room was ready before the official check in time. We had no issues securing a parking spot despite how busy the area is. The hotel has access to a secret beach - great for sunset. Tea, coffee and water available in shaded area. I slept like a baby - not a rooster in sight.

Lucia at the front desk was beyond professional, she made my booking and stay stress free. The entire property is 5 star. The sushi at the restaurant is the best on the island. I especially enjoyed sleeping on the back patio bed. I hope to return for another beautiful stay at Paia Inn. Thank you John Angelini

The inn is indeed not a resort or massive hotel. The beach nearby is nice (if a bit hard to find) and there are plenty of places to eat in town.
