The only thing I liked about this hotel was leaving it. The rooms were tiny and unclean. The bathroom was so small you felt claustrophobic in it. And I truly believe the staff was high.

We dined in the Coyote Cantina after a drive in on US 285 from Denver. The walk to Coyote was well-needed after 6 hours in the car. We browsed the shops, saw a wedding party headed down the street to the church, bofore heading back to the hotel.
The next morning we walked to the Railyard District and the Farmers' Market. It was a blast, and the art show a bonus.
This is a great location at a good price.

We loved the closeness of everything downtown, very walkable city. We loved how close the hiking trails were and did some. Also, close to Taos, Bandelier Monument and Los Alamos. We did all those other locations too. Great food at Pantry Rio. Canyon road was interesting. The sunshine and climate were amazing.

What a gem, Santa Fe is!
What a gem, Santa Fe is! Once you get into the heart of it, it is very interesting. Very old and as such has the oldest house and church in the USA, 1600s. Church set up by Spanish from Mexico. It is full of interesting shops, bars and restaurants. There is a school of cuisine so possibly no wonder food is good here. This town is high altitude so you need at least 48 hrs to get used to it. You can get breathless. I am mild asthmatic so it was ok. We barely scraped the surface of the town. Loved the park in the centre, very sociable. We visited Georgia O'Keefe museum. Super place, very modern. Paintings are superb. Great gifts in shop. Loved the shop bag, very smart.
The airport is growing which is a good thing. Transport is the issue. People rely on lyft and uber to get around. But they are not always available near airport and at night. Taxi firms are charging, in the main, ridiculous pricing. Journey to town is 20 mins. You need to shop around. I was told pricing from 50 to 117 dollars, one way to hotel at night. Its 20 dollars in day. Car hire closes at 10pm so if flight late it could be a big problem. I'm told people just fly into Alburqueque instead and then drive to Santa Fe.

Santa Fe is a wonderful city to visit.
Santa Fe is a wonderful city to visit.
There is a great relaxed vibe, and there is a wonderful blend of cultures.
The art and food are wonderful within the city, and the natural beauty of the surrounding mountains invites many day trips for hiking, skiing, and simply smelling the ponderosa pine forests.
Love the southwest charm of the room especially the kiva fireplace!
The room was clean and had adequate space.
The staff were friendly and informative. When we checked in, we were given their top picks of New Mexican restaurants. And their recommendations turned out to be the best meals of our trip.
They offer a daily complimentary breakfast. Large selection of good breakfast fares including a burrito bar!
Will definitely stay there again on our next visit to beautiful historic Santa Fe!
Cozy, nicely decorated room in the local style. Very friendly staff which made it feel like a temporary home, not an anonymous hotel chain. Many good restaurants in 10 min walking distance. The first time in a long time that I saw water-based heating that doesn't make noise at night (like the typical air-blowing heaters in 99% of hotel rooms). Totally recommend to stay there if you are planning to explore Santa Fe and surroundings!
What a fun stay in Santa Fe! The hot, New Mexican inspired breakfast was so tasty! The location was perfect for a short walk to the historic plaza and popular art galleries. The staff were all so helpful and kind and even upgraded our room to include a private patio area. We didn't have a chance to use the hottubs, but can attest to the margaritas at the hotel bar being delicious. We'd absolutely stay again!
La Fonda is a beautiful building Rich in history and I loved all the details of authentic art and solid architecture. Absolutely beautiful rooms . This hotel exceeded my expectations and I will definitely want to return in the future. Location couldn't be any better either .Right at the Plaza . Just gorgeous lobby, bar and La Plazuela restaurant . Highly recommend staying here .
The location is great for exploring Old Santa Fe. The breakfast was fabulous-loved the breakfast tacos and fresh fruit. Coffee was excellent. Lots of personal touches-firewood and starters for the fireplace, ice cream for purchase in the lobby, friendly staff., umbrellas. The rooms had privacy and the free parking was a plus. This is a cozy hotel with a great Santa Fe vibe.
The property is well located. facilities ( we had a kitchen) superb. owners clearly take a great deal of time focussing on the little details. breakfasts are superb and can also buy coffees / ice cream out of hours. we considered this the best place we have stayed in NM, although clearly Santa Fe is more expensive than other areas and we paid up for this property.
From the moment you walk through the enchanted courtyard, you will know that you are staying in a place that offers the best of Santa Fe charm. The owner and his staff are warm, caring and interesting to talk to. The Plaza is a lovely 15 minute walk away. The Parador evokes a wonderful history and when you stay there, you will create your own.
This is a charming hotel/motel with lovely, well-appointed rooms. The continental breakfast is simple but very good, and the location (less than a ten-minute walk from Santa Fe Plaza) is excellent. But the best part of Santa Fe Motel & Inn has to be the service: everyone we encountered was kind, welcoming, and helpful.
Sweet hotel with very nice rooms, friendly staff and great breakfast. Dinner is also available in the hotel bar for a very reasonable price. The hotel has a great location - we explored Santa Fe by foot. Overall a great experience. Free parking is available.
The hotel itself is very pleasant, this has quickly become one of my favorite hotels in Santa Fe. The vibe is very quaint and chill southwestern. It gives off a very authentic New Mexico feel. Staff is very friendly and the rooms are clean and comfortable.
The room was large and well appointed. It was clean and the staff were very helpful. There is a bus stop just in front of the hotel, so we could ride the bus into the historic part of Santa Fe without having to worry about the traffic or parking.
The proximity to the Plaza and the delicious breakfast burritos and New Mexico Piñon coffee were a huge plus. It was nice to have a full warm breakfast early before we headed to Ski Santa Fe and not have to make a bfast stop.
The hotel is right off the Santa Fe Plaza, close to shops and restaurants. The architecture of the hotel was true to the southwest, which was beautiful. The room was cozy and even had a fireplace and a balcony! Very clean!
Perfect location near to Santa Fe downtown. The room was big and clean with everything we were looking for. Special mention to the reception guy Alejandro. He was super friendly and welcomed us in the best way possible
We were passing through Santa Fe and found that most hotels in the downtown area were $300 per night. Yikes! Took a chance on Motel 6 and had a great stay! Exceeded my expectations! Simple but clean. Felt safe!
Given the relatively cheap price, the upkeep of the hotel and room were better than I expected. Extremely central location—next to the RailRunner train was very good for me. Overall recommend.
The hotel reflects New Mexico style, cultural richness very well. The room was very cozy, with a fireplace (summer, so we didn't need it). The decor very in keeping with Santa Fe.
