The city’s most recognizable landmark is the Hotel del Coronado, a wooden Victorian beach resort, now a National Historic Landmark. Also great for shopping are Horton Plaza and the boutiques in the beachfront neighborhoods.
The city’s most famous attraction is its zoo in Balboa Park, a few blocks from San Diego International Airport. One of the world’s largest zoos, it is well worth a visit, as is the fantastic SeaWorld, home to several killer whales. San Diego is so geographically diverse is so many things to do and go. The freeways are easy to use . The Mexican food and seafood is amazing. The beaches are beautiful, especially in Pacific Beach it’s so scenic . The restaurants are amazing shelter Island is a beautiful place to eat and to take a walk. The food is so delicious so many different cultures to choose from . Use Yelp to guide you to where go. San Diego can be very expensive plan your trip ahead of time. I would avoid Tour season April and September is the best time to come to San Diego to avoid the crowd .

San Diego is fun for everyone.
We did the US Midway tour, US Marine Museum, Whale Watching and visited Downtown, Little Italy, Gaslamp district. Was fun, great places to eat at and enjoy the weather and coast. It is pricey, so if you're willing to take a hit to the wallet, it is an awesome place to be.

Due to our booked airbnb accommodation being disgusting we only got the one day there but we went to the USS Midway museum, this was fantastic and not to be missed, the Doubletree hotel was good all things right, only downside the resteraunt was extortionate prices and really spoiled the stay. Had to go out to eat but there was a small mall with nice shops and an assortment of eating choices about 5 minutes walk away, saved the day.
This is an older style motel that is kept in excellent condition. Checking in and out was friendly and efficient. Parking is convenient. Rooms are large, comforable, impeccably clean with good climate control. The location on San Diego's "Hotel Circle" is reasonably convenient to restaurants and attractions. The property is really well maintained with amazing attention to detail. The on-site restaurant is good for breakfast. This is a very good place to stay in San Diego at a reasonable price.
Perfect location in Little Italy district of San Diego.
Area was very lively with bars and restaurants, also a variety of street markets.
Only a short downhill all the way walk to Santa Fe depot.
Our room overlooked the street and was remarkably quiet given all the bars and restaurants over the road.
Overall an excellent boutique hotel.
Rooms are on the small side with little space for storage but that did not spoil in any way an enjoyable 5 night stay.
Staff were all courteous and very
Overall great experience. We arrived into town early and they were able to check us in early. The room was clean and nice. Bed was comfortable. The staff was courteous and professional. Provided us with a iron and ironing board. This is our go to hotel when staying in downtown San Diego and would definitely recommend it to anyone. Within walking distance of all the downtown restaurants, bars and the stadium.
Anybody who has wrote a review and complained about this hotel is insane. This place is the biggest bang for your buck in probably all of San Diego county. The location is amazing, staff is outstanding and the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Amazing amenities next to the pool. I’m very thankful I took this chance after reading some of the reviews.
Location, Location, Location . . . Across the street from The Coronado Hotel and Coronado Beach! Walking distance everywhere including 25 minute walk to the harbor side and Ferry's that run between downtown San Diego and the Island! Short 15 minute travel time to Horseback riding on the Beach and Mountains! . . . Bilger
Location good for exploring Gaslamp / downtown San Diego. Loved proximity to Padres ball park - cool place to stay if going to a game with their private entrance from hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff was nice. Nice of them to suggest parking at the garage next door which was 1/2 price of valet.
This hotel is on the beach. There is nice area with sunbeds and chillin with ocean view. Beach is long so you can enjoy long walks. In the hotel you can borrow surfs, boogie boards for free. Hotel is next to the lifeguard headquarter so you can feel very safe. Nice places to eat are in walking distance.
Everyone working at the hotel couldn't do enough to make sure my stay was good. From the front desk, to the bar to the shuttle driver. It was an absolute pleasure to stay there. I am recommending my work colleagues to stay here when in San Diego in future. Excellent service!
The room was decorated well and very comfortable. The bed was nice and soft. The bathroom was decently sized. The location is withing walking distance to tons of activities in Downtown San Diego. The hotel itself is tucked away just off Broadway, the lifeline to San Diego.
I really liked being in a hotel with a pool directly on the beach. The room was very modern, clean and had the perfect size for two people or a couple with one child (couch pulls out). Valet parking service worked great and staff was nice.
convenient to old town. Loads of restaurants close by. we didn’t eat in hotel ! pool and jacuzzi which we didn’t use either ! location. close to train and bus stops! would use again if back in San Diego
Perfect location for San Diego. Very easy to get anywhere from hotel. Always parking. Hotel staff were friendly. Hotel was fairly quiet in terms of people noise. Room was clean and had enough towels.
Hotel is centrally located in San Diego. Rooms were well presented and spacious. City view from the room balcony was superb. Airport shuttle was appreciated.
Very modern hotel at a nice place between La Jolla and San Diego. Good restaurants very closely to the hotel and in general, it seems to be a very safe place
hotel circle is the best location for anything San Diego. the staff were nice and helpful. dogs are aloud for a cheap price. nice over all. spacious room.
