Loved looking at this natural phenomenon. Also loved hiking around the lake and picnicking in the area. Go to Diana's Bath also ( a few miles down the road - worth it!!! The breakfast was a typical continental breakfast, but clean and delicious. The location was fabulous! It was not in the middle of traffic and easy to get to all the local attractions. If I go to North Conway again, I will definitely stay at the Swiss Chalet! We went to the Living Shores Aquarium and drove to the top of Cathedral Ledge. Both were great.

The Kancamangus Highway is gorgeous to drive on and pull over whenever it has a sign for a scenic outlook. Cathedral Ledge has a beautiful view when you get to the top, you can see everything on a clear day. It is very peaceful and relaxing to just sit up there and eat or paint. Mount Washington is about an hour drive and it has gorgeous views as well.
