Central Station House is a lovely hotel. Wonderful staff, so friendly and accommodating. Buffet breakfast is exceptional and they are happy to make something off menu. Perfect location to walk to town center, pubs and restaurants. Signal restaurant in hotel is also great with varied menu, good pints and live music. Great value.

Breakfast both mornings of our 2 night stay was lovely. Full Irish well cooked, plenty of tea and toast/coffee and cereals etc. Servers were friendly and polite and service was prompt.

Loved the quaint little town and the shops, restaurants and pubs available to us. Also, the grocery store was very well stocked and the SPAR there had laundry facilities that we so badly needed to use.

Plenty of excellent restaurants in Clifden from mid-price to expensive. Great coffee and snacks available at very reasonable prices. Good shopping and excellent craft/art/souvenir shops in the town. Beautiful Church with small but sincere congregation. Lovely clean town, adequate parking available.

There is so much to see.
There is so much to see. I'm a walker and we were able to access many great walks - mountain, sea and forest walks. We had a car to get to locations. Good location for exploring Connemara. Fabulous scenery. Plenty places to eat in the evenings.

A beautiful area in the National Park.
A beautiful area in the National Park. The little town centre was quite vibrant for such a remote area and lots of independent cafes and shops It was possible to do manageable walks (even for us oldies)

Cliftden was great with plenty of places to eat and drink.
Cliftden was great with plenty of places to eat and drink. There is a very well stocked supermarket in the town and the surroundings were very clean and well maintained. Getting a local taxi was a bit of a problem so we had to drive everywhere, which didn't allow us to have a drink in the town as our accommadation was about 3 miles outside the village.
I wish all BnBs in Ireland represent same standard as Clifden Coach House! The minute you walk in, Izabella welcomes you the way if you were not a tourist but a family member :) She's an absolute delight to deal with. The place is modern, clean and tidy with decent bedrooms and comfortable beds. Bathroom was spotless and well equipped with all you need. Location is just perfect 5min away from the town square. Amazing variety for Breakfast including best pancakes I had in a while! We will be back!
.No wifi.no breakfast.room SERIOUSLY dated.loud music.seriously wasted idiots in bar..fighting.guards called.ive been travelling around ireland for years for work...this worst. How can you oay 100 euro night. No breakfast. But in this day.....noi wifi...and r channels on tv u couldn't watch cos of postion..id rather slept in car.......trust me....other hotels locally say im not first to walk out....
This is a little gem of a find out on the western side of Ireland. French/English speaking proprietor was charming, gave us a little history of the area and some ideas to make the best of our short visit. Both of us were wishing we could stay longer due to the comfortable accomodations and beautiful scenery. Time well spent! We will remember this place.
Ruth and Stewart were wonderful hosts; great location five minutes from Clifden and 25 minutes from Connemara National Park. Our room (we stayed in the corner room #5; we were pleased to find out it was the U2 room) was comfortable and clean, and the breakfast was great. Highly recommend.
Excellent property near the town and looking on to the Station House hotel courtyard so we felt part of the action yet still on our own. Lovely cafe "Steam" in the courtyard as well ad other shops. Spotlessly clean and, while we didn't cook, there was everything one needed for a great stay
Breakfast,
Room Cleanliness,
Friendly helpful service.
Excellent Hotel, perfect location and great Food & Beverage facilities. Recreational facilities are also excellent. The Pool gym etc. Will definitely stay again and will recommend it to anyone travelling to Clifden
Really enjoyed our 1 night stay at this beautiful house!Rooms are very clean, cosy and comfortable with a great view. Breakfast was excellent with best scrambled eggs in Ireland :) The owner are very welcoming, kindly and helpful. Best place to stay in Clifden.
A spacious room and good sized bathroom. Lovely breakfast and bar. Easy to walk to town. The station house opposite which belongs to the hotel is a lovely spot to eat and drink. Nice pool and spa area. If you want to avoid the kids go after midday. 😀
The Buttermilk Lodge was our favorite place that we stayed on our trip to Ireland. The beds were extremely comfortable, breakfast was delicious, the location was great, and they provide very in depth guides on hiking/biking trails in the area!
Apartment style setting in a room with a skylight, king size bed and large tv and a small kitchen across the hall. It was clean and comfortable. Very well supplied and an attentive host. We wished we had stayed longer to explore Clifden!
The location is very good since it’s on the grounds of the Clifden Station House. Parking was very convenient. The interior of the townhouse has recently been upgraded and is cosy, clean and nicely appointed. The showers are exceptional!
Outstanding hotel. The staff, amenities, food and location are a dream. In one day I walked the "Clifden Castle" ate delicious Sole, listened to live music and saw a pristine Irish beach. This is a very special place.
Moreen the owner/host was very helpfull . Only 10 min walkto clifden town and great location for exploring the local area. Although its bed only they have a 10% off deL at a hotel in town which servse a great breakfast
Beautiful hotel, right in the centre of Clifden, perfect location. Lovely open fire to greet you on arrival, lovely friendly staff. Fantastic breakfast, freshly cooked, & plenty of it. Will certainly go back.
Nothing - The owner was extremely difficult and non accommodating. We had to book another hotel for the night because all the amenities were unavailable. I'm honestly baffled at how this hotel has good reviews.
The hotel is right in the centre of Clifden , wouldn’t have picked a better hotel to stay in! The hotel room was the nicest room I’ve ever stayed in, had a smart tv and the loveliest bathroom and shower.
Perfect spot when touring Connemara in Ireland. Also, take your time and see what Dan O'Hara Farmhouse has to offer - for example, the old farmhouse and the short video.
