I took pictures
First thing I do is check under the duvet and bedsheets. Black long hair under the bedsheets. So bedsheets not changed or cleaned at all.
I'd love to show you the photos.
Wasn't impressed.

Lovely room and very good meal in the Beeches. Slight problem as the room was above the central heating boiler which was noisy. Ear plugs would help. Lovely staff.

I requested a ground floor room as my wife walks with the aid of crutches and was given a brand new disabled room with personal parking. Had to change date of stay but had no internet at holiday cottage to contact Booking.com, no problem to your staff.
Extremely impressed.
Thank you.

Very friendly and helpful staff.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Wonderfully clean room and excellent food options in the restaurant.
We used the hotel as it was only ten minutes away for an event at Statfold Barn Railway the next day.
Easy to get to as not far from the M42 and also very close to Twycross Zoo!
Would thoroughly recommend this location and would definitely stay again!

Appleby Magna is the perfect place to stay, so close to so many attractions. The hotel is easy to find, staff are very friendly, rooms very clean, bed very comfy. Food portion size big and very very tasty. Have recommended to family and friends, will certainly stay here again.

It was the closest accommodation we could find for a festival weekend. We did not do anything other than sleep and eat breakfast at Appleby Magna itself but the environment looked quaint and not far from historic places of interest.

Not impressed.
Not impressed. Isn't hard to keep it looking good and clean if you have cleaners. Honestly won't be going back.
Pillows like concrete and the mattress way too hard
Dirty in many places
We wasn't sure about ordering breakfast but in the morning we clearly saw a few breakfast plates with all the best bits left. .shame as its in a very good spot and could be so much better without much effort.
Room was large, clean and comfortable. Parking was very close to room. Food was fantastic. The dining staff helped me put together a birthday party for my husband - even driving to the store to pick up cakes. They were fantastic. 2nd time we stayed at the Appleby and it will be our only destination hotel anytime we visit my husband’s home!
The hotel staff were incredibly friendly, the food quality was very high and the size of the rooms were surprisingly very big. For the price of the booking I was expecting the size of a small chain hotel room. Instead we had very large rooms which were more suite sized than room sized. We have already booked our return stay for next year.
I travelled alone with my two daughters and I booked a family room which was excellent value for money! I cannot fault this hotel from the excellent meal we had in the evening to the excellent breakfast, to the lovely staff, excellent location and amazing play area for my girls before leaving. Great place to stay and we will be back!
Breakfast - Good selection of foods both cooked and cold, table service.
Dinner - Excellent choice of hot and cold foods well served in pleasant surroundings. Recommend booking as does get busy.
Room - Clean, well decorated and all facilities provided. Loads of free parking, off road.
The location for our visit ideal. The staff were friendly (although when complained in the restaurant they were not happy) but reception staff and breakfast staff very helpful.the rooms were large. Breakfast on the second day tasty. Dinner in the restaurant very good value for money.
Great hotel, ideally located just off the M42/A42. Bit of a rabbit warren, but that, I find is quite appealing, there is always a little area not overly busy. Food is good, not Cordon Bleu, but good pub fare, Breakfast is also very good
Nice clean room but didn’t actually sleep their due to no taxis back from local village. Got taxi numbers from hotel reception would have been better if they advised to pre book. Rang at least six companies but no joy. Nice breakfast.
We stayed for 0ne night after attending my son's wedding at Thorpe Gardens and the hotel was only 4 miles away. The room was a good size and the breakfast was excellent, although it finished at 09:30, which is a bit early for me.
Initially allocated rm26, this was above the kitchen & bar toilet and very noisy, staff were great and moved me to rm 28, a bungalow room away from the main hotel. Very peaceful and quiet, superb 👌
