Highworth is a lovely small market town with lots of interesting history. It has a very useful visitor centre with a small museum. The surrounding area is beautiful with a lot of ancient historical monuments and sites within easy reach. The cotswolds are on the doorstep and it is an easy trip to Bath.

Loved the location and fantastic food.
Loved the location and fantastic food. Room quite tired and could do with comfier beds. Great value for money. Met some friendly locals full of knowledge of the town's history including the tunnels that go under the town from every pub to the church. There's even an original door to it in the cellar bar a few doors down from the Saracen. We are vegetarians but even I was tempted with the food on offer in andd outside the local butchers and the Saturday market was a pleasure to walk round.

The room we stayed in it was a triple room, good size. I did not expect luxury for the money I have paid, just a clean,comfortable and decent room. Unfortunately I was let down badly when I got there and seen the state of the hotel/pub. Everything is dated and in a massive need of refurbishment.
