Very clean. Comfortable. Had everything we needed for our stay
Came for the Northumbrian Gathering. It's a great event if you like folk music and dancing. Lots of local culture. Talented artists. And the town itself is very attractive. It is small enough to park and walk to all places of interest.

The Joiners Arms for beer and Martino Lounge for food worth a visit as are the Carlisle Park where Emily Davidsons statue is situated. But quite a mix of places to visit.
Leisure Centre would be good for families.
Easy to walk around and found free parking within 5 minutes of hotel.

Secret Cottage, Morpeth (Host: Alex) Morpeth was fine but accommodation and host not so good. Reported a major fault (no lighting in the main bathroom) this was not repaired during stay and to add insult to injury the host lied about everything in response to my review of Booking.com. Please don't trust this host or give him any of your hard-earned cash as he doesn't deserve the business. He was totally unsympathetic and had a terrible attitude. He said "go ahead and report to Booking.com because at the end of the day it is up to the host if a refund is given". AVOID THIS HOST!

Morpeth is a lovely little town.
Morpeth is a lovely little town. Highlights for me were the bagpipe museum - really is great - the park and all the little shops, especially the cheese shop by the clock tower. I went in windy January on a bicycle, which was not ideal, but I still really enjoyed myself.

We were only there for one night for a family birthday so did not get the opportunity to visit all the shops in the town centre. We did go to a fantastic Italian Restaurant Lollo Rosso which served amazing food and such attentive and friendly staff.

Lovely traditional market town giving easy access to...
Lovely traditional market town giving easy access to wonderful Northumberland countryside, hills, moors, coast, castles, as well as Newcastle city centre for shopping, culture, nightlife, etc. Morpeth has several cosy coffee shops for delicious home baked scones and cakes, lunches, etc, as well as a variety of bars and restaurants and a unique traditional craft centre.
Gorgeous little basement apartment, a sweet outdoor sitting area, a convenient walk to stores and historic venues. Our hosts made a lovely "breakfast box" to help us get through the first morning before we could go grocery shopping, which delighted my son to no end. And the shower was awesome! The book of local information was full of great stuff to help anyone find things to do, and the bed!!! Oh, that bed was SO comfy!
A lot of thought had gone into the decoration and presentation of the Beresford bar, dining area and restaurant. The breakfast was better than ALL the four star hotels we've stayed at this year. The Sunday lunch and evening meal we had on the second night were absolutely delicious - fabulous! The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. The village location was lovely and a great base for visiting local attractions.
Would liken our experience to staying in a 5* hotel. We've never had slippers and the care package (bread, milk, beverages, condiments and toiletries) was beyond compare.
The doughnuts were the cherry on top of the icing!
Very comfortable bed, ample blankets to wrap up with if we wanted.
Tastefully decorated throughout.
Great stay, Great host. Great value. Highly recommended staying here in the North East. We stayed here for the Great North Run and Morpeth is a lovely little town. In a world where everything is getting very expensive, to stay in a room as nice as this for £75 a night felt like a bargain
Clean and comfortable B&B with very friendly hosts. Breakfast was really first class. Within easy walking distance of Morpeth town center where there is a good range of shops, pubs and restaurants. Lollo Rosso Italian restaurant highly recommended. I'd stay again without hesitation.
The apartment was clean and well equipped, with walk-in shower, comfy be, lounge area and a well equiped kitchen. Milk, T&C and crisps (!) all supplied. And the garage next door to park the bike was a great bonus! Morpeth is lovely - and the bagpipe museum really is a treat.
hotel in fab location, room had clean bedding and towels staff pleasant and friendly.
restaurant/bar area nicer/updated than the rest of hotel
hotel car park an added bonus in busy Morpeth
would be happy to stay again and pay more if hotel was fully refurbished
Absolutely beautiful lodge, we have stayed around this area before as it isn’t far from home but once you’re there it feels like a million miles away. Stunning caravan and will be using Lone Star Lodge again very soon. (Thank you for the free wine and crisps!)
Staff were friendly and flexible with our arrival times, breakfast was freshly cooked each morning and was very good quality.
The rooms were quiet and clean, would definitely stay again if in the area as really good value for money.
Very little to say what we liked about our stay, but if i had to choose anything it would be the location of the hotel and the bed was ok. Clean towels. Apart from that i cant say anything else we liked. Would not recommend.
Beautiful accomadation extra helpful staff and amazing food and value. Loved they accomadated our two dogs from start to finished, with dog friendly rooms (a decent size too) to a dog friendly eating area.
Excellent accommodation and food. Great location bear Morpeth and Cresswell Beach. Helpful staff. Enjoyed supper and breakfast. It's our destination of choice when we visit Northumberland.
It's cheap and they always have rooms! Ok if you are in a pinch or at short notice. Bed was ok, no breakfast was available, which is probably a good thing.
