Host St Ives, hotel in Phillack

Located in St Ives, a 3-minute walk from Porthminster Beach, Host St Ives has accommodations with a terrace, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar.

The design of the room is absolutely on point! The room has wonderful details. The bed is amazing…so comfortable! The location is great and was a plus that the restaurant was opened our first night there, our meal and wine selection was very good. Was a bit disappointing to not try more on the menu! The host is very friendly and helpful. There is a parking lot not far away, very convenient.

The view from out bedroom window overlooking St Ives harbour was fabulous, went to sleep and woke up with the waves hitting the rocks below us. Sadly balcony was shut due to windy weather. No extra cost for a cooked breakfast. Good choice of menu for lunch/supper.

We had a wonderfully restful night’s stay in a junior suite. The views were phenomenal. The suite had everything we needed, and more. The pantry with lemon drizzle cake in the afternoons was one of the many highlights of our stay.

Good location, close to shops as well as beach. hayle beach and Carbis bay beautiful. Recommend the Lands End tour bus - beautiful 2 hour coastal road trip on open top bus only £7 , free with oap bus pass. Philp’s pasties were lovely, as were Becks fish and chips in Carbis bay and chips from Balancing Eel in st Ives. Godrevy national trust is a must for scenery as well as the beautiful seals.

Great spot to explore the West of Cornwall.

Great spot to explore the West of Cornwall. If you are self catering, M&S food hall 5mins drive. Mutton bay is hot for seeing seals, in sea and on the beach. Nice restaurants to eat by beach. Few good restaurants nearby in highroad. Surfing is good. swimming safe, no real rip tide. Dogs allowed outside of summer. Lifeguards on beach. Brilliant if you want to run. Sand Dunnes perfect for winter training for serious athletes....

We stayed in a one bedroom chalet it was lovely and clean.

We stayed in a one bedroom chalet it was lovely and clean. Parking just outside. Bedding was clean. Lovely kitchen area with a fridge freezer and a full size cooker . Bus stop just across the main road running to hayle, st Ives which was a real bonus £3.90 a return each . Lovely sand dunes to walk around and the beach 3 miles long with fabulous views of st Ives . Swimming pool on site with a beach bar that looks over the bay . Location of chalet had a children’s small play park behind but it was so peaceful and relaxing.

    It is a caravan camp.

It is a caravan camp. Nice area shopping and dining options are close. Hard to rate overall as there was several type of houses and caravans and we only stayed in one. It was a mid size small house with two separate bedrooms. For the purpose it was perfect. Carpet was little old but otherwise it was fit for the purpose. Only real negative was that there was no towels at all. What is not a problem if i am aware but i was not prepared for that so i had to run out and shop some towels in the local M&S. Overall it is a good value for the money. Based on my house i could advise other peoples to stay here.

I cannot recommend this place at all. I never got there.

I cannot recommend this place at all. I never got there. There is no bus or taxi service that will take you there from St Erth station, which I believe is the nearest railway station. For many days before my arrival date, I tried to contact the this place, but was never able to get hold of a person. Their message reply algorithm never answered my questions about how to get there. The phone is not answered by a person. Arriving at St Erth station, I still tried to find a bus or a taxi to no avail. A request message to them for a taxi or pick up, was answered by: this service is not offered. I had to decide to give up, despite having paid for my stay. The name of this place is misleading, it is not in St Ives but miles away. I needed to take the local train to St Ives town, 20 min away. Thanks to booking.com I found a room in the Western hotel there, close to the station, where I spent my 3 days in comfort. The money paid for 'st Ives bay' was completely wasted. I suggest Booking.com at least adds a warning that this place is only accessible by one's own car. I recommend avoiding Phillack and so called 'st ives bay'
