Everything. I really have no words to describe the perfection of the Old Stables room (loft? Mini-apartment?) I would happily live there forever. The room was huge, beautifully decorated in a fabulous equestrian motif (the Farrier is at the original blacksmith shop), sparkling clean, and too many amenities to list. The food is delicious and plentiful. We had the full English breakfast and it set us up for the whole day! Everyone on staff were really lovely and so kind. I wish we could’ve stayed for more than one night!

Great location for visiting the area - mid point between Pickering and Scarborough - with lots of things to do and places to see. Wykeham itself is a small village but on the main road so easy to get to where you want making touring the area easy.

The older parts of the village are really pretty and there...
The older parts of the village are really pretty and there are plenty of quiet country walks. Scarborough is a short drive away, as is Pickering, with many attracticve villages all around. Also a short drive away is North Moor with forest walks, wildlife and views.

Lovely little village location.
Lovely little village location. Well signposted walk around the area which we all enjoyed. Popped into the gun shop Davey and Sons and the 2 blokes in there were really friendly and helpful. It's so close to so many places! Torn for choice the next day on what to do, could definitely have done a good few days up here :) we ate at the downs hotel pub just down the road from where we stayed - The Old Orchard Cottage - which served locally sourced fish which is always nice to see! Out stay at the old orchard cottage was absolutely perfect, highly recommend checking that place out, the pictures don't even do it justice it's the nicest place!

It was a great base to explore the area of Scarborough...
It was a great base to explore the area of Scarborough Whitby, Filey and Robin Hoods Bay. Pickering and North Yorkshire were close by too. The hotel served a good breakfast. Paid extra for a luxury room, but not really worth it.
lovely quiet location just outside Scarborough, Thornton Le Dale and Pickering! Amazing food, lovely bar and Phil the owner couldn’t have bent over backwards anymore for us! We turned up late with our dog and Phil did everything to accommodate us. We can’t love this place enough.
loved this little hotel . The room was lovely and clean. The bed was comfy and it's in a great location to visit Scarbrough and york. The staff was helpful and really nice . Big shout out to the cleaners who were lovely and do a great job of keeping the hotel clean
The room was comfortable althought the en-suite was slightly cramped. The location was very good, easy to access the coastal resorts. Much better than trying to find an hotel in eg Scarborough itself. Plenty of parking at hotel. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
Location was ideal for us, quiet and secluded, yet within minutes of the main Pickering to Scarborough road. Very spacious and airy rooms. Deer and pheasants all around. Log stove works well. Beautiful rural setting. Some very nice walks nearby.
We had a fantastic stay the staff and room was really lovely. The hotel was very beautiful inside and out we will come again when the weather is better so hopefully have a good walk around. Great value for money
We have stayed before so knew what to expect.
The decor and ambiance of the hotel is very good.
The bar has a good selection of drinks. The breakfast was very good.
The bed and pillows were very comfortable.
