We stayed at the 4th floor, which was recently renovated, so all was brand new
The breakfast was good. Strange that no vegetables, but anyway - good.

Between lush hills and undulating coastline, Gijón is the largest city in Asturias. Its oldest part covers a peninsula with the modern Elogio del Horizonte sculpture at its green tip. Cobbled streets house brightly painted restaurants and bars serving the acclaimed local cider, and arches leading to stylish Plaza Mayor. Underground are the Campo Valdés Roman bath ruins, and Campa de Torres has an archaeology park.
Flanking the peninsula is Poniente beach, curving between the marina and aquarium, and overlooked by the Talasoponiente spa. Small Playa del Arbeyal is by the port, and the promenade of popular San Lorenzo beach continues to the waterfront San Pedro church.
Gijón activities include diving and dolphin watching, and there are 2 golf courses surrounded by nature. The Atlantic Botanical Gardens were the first in northern Spain, and sit across from the impressive buildings of Laboral University’s Viesques campus. Landscaped Isabel La Católica Park is close to the El Bibio bullring and across the river are the Gijón Exhibition Center and Asturias Museum.
Another museum was home to the city’s most famous son, Melchor de Jovellanos. One of his namesakes is an elegant theater overlooking Paseo de Begoña park.
Booking.com’s Gijón accommodations include luxury beachfront hotels, guesthouses near the train station, and historic country houses.
Gijon is a beautiful beach city. It’s not small, but not huge. The two playas are connected by a sweet park. There is an old town area with great restaurants typical of the area. We went to La Ganare and it was fantastic!

Gijón is very charming with lots of different neighborhoods to explore and very easy to get around on foot. There are many shops and cafes and a good variety of restaurants at different price ranges. The beach is beautiful and wide and the old quarter is wonderful. A real vacation place when you want to relax although it a lot of cultural/historic sites if that is what you’re looking for. Climate is great if you’re trying to escape the heat!

Wonderful town/city.
Wonderful town/city. Loads of interesting shops, restaurants and cafes, historical building’s the,old quarter, was fascinating. The town had the vibrancy of say, Brighton, quirky cafes as well as high class restaurants. Great 4 course set menus, including wine, too much food, but not complaining! Great bakeries and cake shops. Friendly people, good parks, lots I didn’t get time to see. Easy supermarkets plus Lidl.

It is so nice city, just a bit advice, try to enjoy other areas rather just the center. And if you prefer the night life, you will definitely need to stay in Oviedo and visit Gijón during the day time. The beaches there r so nice and ppl too, and it is cheaper than Ovieado. Whenever you go away from the centeral station google map gives the wrong bus stops.
Try to visit other cities nearby, but first discover oviedo it has a lot to do at.
The property was very clean and well-kept. We just stayed one-night as we traveled across Spain but it was a great spot to stop for the night. We ate at the restaurant on site and had breakfast at the large continental buffet the next morning. The breakfast was superb with a surprisingly large selection of fresh and hot foods. The dinner restaurant was very good as well.
Location right on Camino del Norte. Convenient for beach, city, retaurants, bike trails, parks and more. Warm greeting from everyone we met at reception. Everything we needed. Gijon has a great City vibe. Hotel was really comfortable, modern with wonderful decor. Amazingly quiet too! That was a huge bonus. Thank you and for looking after our bikes too.
The location, staff and cleanliness were excellent. As a party of 3 adults, we had a mini two bedroom suite with two full baths. Good towels and comfortable beds. Located on older section with lots of sites and restaurants. Very good breakfast. Parking arrangement with lot right next to the hotel was convenient also and discounted price.
This hotel was everything we could wish for. friendly helpful staff, incredible location, comfortable room with little balcony and view of the bay. It is city Centre so of course there was some nighttime noise but we are city dwellers so we’re used to that. we would definitely choose this hotel again when we next visit Gijón
Super clean and comfortable
Excellent shower
Friendly and helpful staff/reception
3 min walk from beach
9 min walk from central bus station (in/out to airport)
Spacious bright bedroom
Good breakfast
Close to tourist attractions bars and restaurants
Overall a great hotel. I recommend and would stay again
The location was ideal. On my first morning (of a two-night stay), I was up early due to jetlag and just walked along the beach, which is essentially right out the front door. I enjoyed my stay so much; I'll be be returning again in a week when I pass through Gijon.
The hostel is very familiar and friendly the bathroom is super nice and very big, the sleeping room are also very pleasantly furnished. the house staff is very friendly and always helpful. Beautifully located in the hills of Gijon.
Beautiful and spacious apartments located in Gijon old town. Apartment has everything you need for a long stay and has almost all city attractions nearby. Check-in was easy and the apartment owner is very friendly and welcoming.
The hotel is very well-located. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help. The reception is open 24 h which is very convenient. The room and bathroom were always clean. Also, you can leave your luggage after check-out.
Perfect location in Gijon for a rest day on the Camino Norte. Very comfortable room and beds. Very good bathroom. Host very attentive and helpful. Once figured out the digital locking system, very nice to have.
Love this hotel. Have stayed there before and will stay there next time I'm in Gijón. Location is fantastic. Can get around very easily on foot and there is parking a few meters from the hotel.
Perfect hotel if you‘re travelling with your dog. The staff is super friendly. You can walk to the beach (3min) it is really central and you can do everything by walking.
Big room, lot of light.
Lovely smell in the hotel lobby. All very clean and peaceful.
Great advice for a one day plan out of Gijón from one member of the night shift
Clean and tidy hotel with very helpful staff. The location is a bit out of the old town centre and there is nothing to do around, but not far of a walk to places.
