The location is perfect in the main street of Old San Juan you can reach everything you need just walking and it's ten minutes by Uber to get to Placita Santurce. The room was nice comfortable clean. The staff is really professional and gentle they let me leave my suitcase for another day as I needed to go to Culebra and didn't want to carry my big suitcase.

the patio area was amazing! Pool area was also very nice. Very pleasing and relaxing atmosphere with plenty of comfortable seating. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Location was excellent. Nice neighborhood with plenty of good restaurants (Piu Bella has great food at good prices, lots of food and drink choices) and shopping needs within walking distance. Beautiful beach was about a 5–10-minute walk. Never had a problem with finding a place to park. Always felt safe.

Easy to access room, friendly staff, clean room and decent if you need a place to stay for the night for cheap. Not a 5 star but not a nasty motel. A simple room and that’s it.

Puerto Rico is an island, but we are conservative in our way of dressing, and walk with in our bathing suits only in the beach.
Please be aware that not all the beaches are safe for swimming. San Juan faces the North Atlantic, with its strong currents.
Please do not walk the streets with expensive jewelry.
Park in paid parking, if possible.

We stayed in OLD SAN JUAN and it was great.
We stayed in OLD SAN JUAN and it was great. If you enjoy history and the origin of the Caribbean colonialism and cultures San Juan is treasure trove of information. The two main forts established over 600 are very impressive and well kept by the National Park Service. The “old San Juan” historic area has many quaint streets and restaurants. Prices in old San Juan (and Puerto Rico) were higher than we were expecting. 2-4 days is ample to see all.

I lived on the condado for 5 years from 1972-1977, while my Dad was stationed in Old San Juan.
It was exactly how I remembered it, beautiful people, beautiful weather, beautiful city, beautiful beaches... but just a little more built up. I've been to Turks and Caicos, Bermuda, and the Bahamas (more than once) and they are all beautiful!
But San Juan/PR in general has so much more to offer with regards to history, tours, adventure, shopping, or relaxation for ALL ages!!

Old San Juan is beautiful; however, over run with tourist.
Old San Juan is beautiful; however, over run with tourist. We were warned of "creative driving" -- yup, have to agree. Finding parking is near impossible. Streets are narrow. Found some great beaches. Delicious seafood.

Enjoyed San Juan. Touring the old Castillo's.
Enjoyed San Juan. Touring the old Castillo's. We found a lovely restaurant in Old San Juan. We went snorkeling in Escambron beach. Pleasant relaxing trip. A gentle breeze kept things from getting too hot. Rain sometimes. Wonderful walking area on the Castillo and shore.
THE BED WAS NOT LEVEL, HEAD LOWER THAN FEET, ROOM WAY TO SMALL, NO CLOSET, NO MICROWAVE, NOT IN ROOM COFFEE MAKER, NO BLOWER DYER, NOT PLACE TO UT YOUR THINGS HAD TO LEAVE OUT OF SUITCASE FOR 4 DAYS, EVERY CROWDED EVEN FOR 2 PEOPLE. THE ROOMS LOOK NOTHING LIKE THEY DO ONLINE WHEN I WAS DOING MY RESEARCH, FOR 180.00 PER NIGHT IT WAS A WASTE OF MY MONEY, THE HOTEL FORTLESA WAS WAY NICER AMD THE ROOMS MORE MORE EVERYTHING SHOULD HAVE STAY THERE WITH THE REST OF MY FAMILY, LOCATION WAS TERRIBLE, WAY TO CROWDED.
If you are looking for a Marriott or Motel 8, keep looking because this won’t be a good fit for you. But if you enjoy a Funky, fun, open air, unique experience this place is excellent. It’s the true Old San Juan experience. We loved our cupola for the natural light, breeze, and awaking to the coos of doves. If you are brave enough, climb the stairs to the fantastic view of the city. We utilized the kitchen down the hall which was more than sufficient. Oscar and Eddie took good care of us.
Fantastic location! The apartment is right on the beach and close to many shops and restaurants. It is easy to get what you need. The hosts were also kind and responsive to questions. The apartment was spacious and designed nicely. It was also great to have a balcony. While there wasn't a pool accessible to the building, we were allowed to use the pool and hot tub of a hotel that was about a 10-minute walk away. That hotel was beautiful and the hotel's customer service was great.
The price for a weekend stay is fair. The hotel is like a half block from the beach. It’s literally across the street. The hotel has a pool and free breakfast. The rooms are small but it has a microwave and refrigerator. Also, you can rent a chair and umbrella at the beach for free (however, you have to walk a little to the free rentals for the hotel). The strip is close to a lot of restaurants and activities. If you go somewhere get a taxi. 8 out 10 it’s cheaper than Uber.
Staff were friendly and were as helpful as they could have been given the facilities. The breakfast was simple but perfectly acceptable, and the restaurant (Marcella) was excellent. Props to Nelson the hardworking waiter/bartender! The rooms were fairly clean and the bed was comfy (but small). The location is good, with Old San Juan, Condado and the convention center all easy to get to. The neighborhood felt safe, and there are good cheap eats just around the corner.
The location of this hotel is fantastic. Right in the heart of Old San Juan, so you are close to everything but it's not too noisy. The views from the rooftop are inspiring. The hotel feels very authentic with beautiful artwork and furniture. The staff are also wonderful and helpful. Every evening between 5 - 6 pm they serve free wine and cheese, which is a nice touch.
Just a bizarre situation - the hotel is situated in a random floor of a medical Center. The medical center staff are less than thrilled there's a random hotel in their building and the medical staff treat the hotel guests less than ideally. The hotel staff were all great, it was just a bizarre situation of having a hotel in the 4th floor of a medical center.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Free, open bar was wonderful for quick small pick-me-up drinks after hot time in the sun. The location was perfect for walking all of Old San Juan. We picked up a rental car for a visit to Rincon, after our stay in Old SJ. That was the right decision. It was a quick Uber from airport to hotel then to the car rental.
This hotel was perfect for our trip to San Juan. So close to the beach and we were surprised when we found out the hotel provides chairs, towels, and umbrellas free of charge on the beach. Great restaurants nearby! Super clean and wonderful staff. We will definitely stay here again if we return to San Juan.
I really liked the hotel itself- the beds were comfortable, I felt very safe as a female solo traveler, and it was a comfortable nice hotel. I needed to be in Old San Juan so the location was nice for me! Overall I had a really nice stay and it was exactly what I needed for this trip.
Very nice hotel with a unique design and a good ambiance and right in the city center which is walking distant from everything in old San Juan. They also have a rooftop terrace where you can enjoy some drinks and chill under the shadow
Very time we come to Puerto Rico, this is where we stay a few days. The beach is right behind the hotel. So many restaurants to choose from. The bus to San Juan is near the hotel, so you don't have to drive there.
Overall the hotel itself exceeded my expectations. I did like that it was very close to the beach and restaurants as well as shops. the staff was super super nice and friendly, the room was a good size and clean.
The hotel's location is great, right next to the beach and local spots. The ride from airport was quick and fairly priced. Uber to Old San Juan was cheap and quick. The room was big enough for 2 people.
The hotel is in a good location, the rooms are very spacious, great facilities and excellent staff. The small things that went a long way from the staff made it the highlight of the stay.
The hotel was clean and comfortable. Bed was extremely comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Loves the shuttle to Old San Juan. It is really close to the Pan Am Pier.
It was affordable. That was a big selling point. I don’t need all the amenities like big hotels because I’m never there anyway. I’m out experiencing San Juan.
