I fast during the morning so did not have breakfast, however I did go for a yummy cocktail and soup . The staff were brilliant and able to accommodate me at short notice. The rooms were nice and the breakfast was great. The location is perfect, very close to all the attractions. They have a great terrace, where you can also have dinner if the weather allows it. And they also have a cigar corner outside, where one can enjoy a nice cigar with his whisky. Loved this part.

FAQs about hotels in Edinburgh

A Feast for the Senses

A city of heritage, heart and of course Hogmanay, Scotland’s capital is vibrant and edgy. Whether or not you come for one of its many festivals, Edinburgh is quite simply a feast for the senses.

The wealth of Edinburgh sights ranges from Holyrood Palace to the Botanical Gardens, Princes Street to the Royal Mile. Overseeing them all is majestic Edinburgh Castle. Be there at sunset on a clear day to see the city below bathed in a warm, orange glow. Simply stunning.

Wandering the streets, the smell of fish and chips wafts by, with the unique twist of salt ‘n’ sauce – a must-try variation on this favourite dish. Follow it up with a smooth whisky and you’ll start to feel like a local.

For a taste of Scottish culture, a kilt-wearing busker often plays the bagpipes on Waverley Bridge, while traditional folk music can be heard in some Old Town pubs. Complete your stay with a rugby match at Murrayfield or a round at one of the city’s 14 golf clubs, and you’ll have the true Edinburgh experience.

Whether you are looking for hotels near Edinburgh Airport or accommodations in the city center, Booking.com has a great range to choose from.

So much to see and do.

So much to see and do. At this time of year it wasn't too crowded. Most of the city centre attractions are within walking distance of Edinburgh Waverley station. Excellent museums and art galleries. St Giles Cathedral, Palace of Holyroodhouse, Gladstone's Land all worth visiting. Near to Edinburgh are Rosslyn Chapel, Hopetoun House and ferry trip to Inchcolm Island and abbey - all of which I enjoyed immensely

Edinburgh is vibrant and full of history.

Edinburgh is vibrant and full of history. Gorgeous buildings, great pubs, friendly people. The castle takes your breath away, it's just huge and amazing. The botanical gardens are huge, serene and free! Shopping and restaurants everywhere. The city is very walkable (though hilly). We had a high tea at Fingal that was just outstanding. The home of the Scotch Malt Whiskey Society had great food and impeccable, friendly service and knowledgeable team members ready to help you discover a new favorite. Driving in Edinburgh is not for the faint of heart if you aren't accustomed to it. Many roads are two-way, but only wide enough for one car, so navigating is an art! Our advice is to hire a driver--this made all the difference for us.

Edinburgh is a compact, yet cosmopolitan city.

Edinburgh is a compact, yet cosmopolitan city. You can walk the whole city centre and its attractions in around half an hour in each direction but there's plenty more to see beyond the centre. Advice: get a city tour ASAP, pay attention and take notes of what interests you. Then you can visit the places you want to see.

Edinburgh is a great city, full of history, wonderful architecture and amazing landscape. We’ve been a couple of times and have completed a tour of the castle and a food walking tour. Walking tours are the best way to experience Edinburgh and learn some of its history. There is the usual tourist trash shops here and there but also plenty of high quality stores, restaurants and bars.

Location is very convenient, close to Haymarket station from where you can easily get from/to the airport, it is also not far to the city centre. Rooms were clean, comfortable beds and we appreciated the buffet breakfast. The food choice was the same every day but that is not something to complain about. The staff was very kind, helpful, we would definitely stay here again. The price was also reasonable compared to other hotels in Edinburgh.

Lovely stay. The hotel has an excellent location for wandering around Stockbridge or Edinburgh city centre and the staff are incredible. I booked the stay for my mother in law and mentioned it was her birthday and the staff couldn’t have been more thoughtful in planning her stay. They gave her a free upgrade, left a card, balloons and chocolates for her. She commented on how truly special they made her stay. Thank you so much for everything.

Hotel was clean, and breakfast was delicious. We came for the royal Highland show, and the location of the hotel was close to the show ground, so didn't need to travel far to get too it. Also there is a 3 minute walk from the hotel to a tram stop, which is cheap and you can get straight on and into the city centre of Edinburgh in minutes
