Accommodations in Hakone

Location just next to Gora Station which is excellent and easy. Clean and comfortable- we stayed in dorm for one night and it still was very convenient, quiet and we could use an onsen.

The hotel was a very nice surprise when we visited Japan. The shared bathroom was a unique experience, the traditional room was worth the visit and the hotel offered a very relaxing onsen. It is in a nice location (near bus stations, among trees), with very friendly and helpful staff.

Super cozy, friendly staff who also speak English. Showers are shared but you have comfortably large individually lockable compartments.

This newly renovated building mixing traditional design and modern amenities. The staff is really nice and the breakfast served was excellent. I loved the vibe and it's just a short walk from Hakone Yumato station.

Generously sized room, beautiful view of the valley all the way down to Odawara and the sea, wonderful facilities particularly the extensive onsen with different options for heated pools indoor & outdoor - a special experience sitting in the rock pool up a level, surrounded by forest and with snow falling down. Hotel staff were also very helpful and welcoming.

Everything was beyond expectations! The location was great, the staff was really helpful and informative and kind, the facilities were lovely and clean, and the capsule bed was cute and very comfortable. Absolutely great value for money, especially in such a touristic area.

Amenities, onsen, TV with Netflix, Breakfast

The facilities are very comfortable and clean. The common area is cozy and has a lot of board games.

As a first time visit to Hakone, we were fortunate to come across this beautiful Ryokan (inn) Onsen (bathhouse) with only 6 rooms in total. This was much needed after 5 days in Tokyo and 200,000 steps walking (checking smart watch haha). We personally took a bus from train station to have a leisure ride (but ofcourse learned how expensive taxis were in Tokyo) through the mountains. Ruby at the front desk was very sweet, patient and accommodating even though we came about 1 hour earlier than the 4pm check in time. Ruby and her team made it a beautiful experience! From checkin guidance, reserving the private Onsens with My wife (don't worry...since there are only 6 rooms, everyone can reserve to fit in with their schedule). The Onsens, I wish I can describe in detail of the experience but you have to visit to experience first hand. All three Onsen options were extremely clean and private, had all the shower facilities and the most relaxing experience ever! The dinner with Japanese curry, corn soup in chilly weather hit the spot! Next morning the traditional Japanese breakfast was very refreshing and I'm grateful for them to accommodate us with dietary restrictions, this helped us energize for the day to explore Hakone via the local cable car/rope way which starts at "Gora" station about a 10-12 minute walk. We were able to leave our luggage for the day exploration in Hakone and would visit again asap with our bittersweet experience. Next time I would stay at least 2-3 days. Thank you Ruby and Ajisai team for making this a lifelong memorable experience!

I loved the onsen, super hot and steamy. Somewhat loved the remote location. The staff was soo sweet and kind. The dinner and breakfast was so yummy. The beds were so comfy and the ac was great. Plenty of room in the bedrooms

Awesome place, super clean. Definitely recommend it to everyone.

Location. Ok the cablecar line. 2nd last stop

Beautiful space. The tatami rooms were flexible and perfect for my nieces. The place was very clean and good directions were provided for most everything. It was walking distance to 2 Nobu restaurants and a great pizza joint! The Gora train station is nearby too. We loved our stay!

Love the house. It's an old house but has been refurnish and modernize. It has kept the magic having a touch of modern. Love as well the facilities in the kitchen. Good quality equipment which is surprising for a guest house. Very pleasant. We were cold but I think is mainly because we had heavy snow and extremely negative temperatures (-7*C) which is rare for Hakone. Bathtub was not hot but the staff came to have a look and fixed the problem. So just ask, they are lovely, reply quickly and will help you.

The owner was super nice, helpful and kind. He gave us a ride everyday to the bus station. He also cooked us a delicious breakfast for free on our last day. We had a great time staying here, we hope to be back soon.

We have never felt more welcome than we did at the Harbor Inn Hayakawa! Every single detail was thoughtfully planned. You went above and beyond the standard service, giving us great restaurant recommendations and the absolute best tips for rainy day activities. Thank you so much for everything!

Beautiful view of the water, great location not far from train, very easy to find and no detail, no matter how small was missed. The homemade slippers are pretty awesome too😎

Close to train, easy access up and down the coast. Clean beds, very cute decoration. Desk and chair for working was comfortable. Good air conditioning and washer for laundry. Sushi restaurants nearby for great meals.

Good place to stay with family or friends, nearest in train station and also have a near car parking with affordable price

The room was a decent size & perfect for a family, very quiet & clean. I enjoyed the private onsen that was provided along with a Japanese ryokan. (First timer) Their dinner course meal was worth trying if you are curious on what a 5 course meals. The staff were friendly & professional! The location was nice & near the Hakone ropeway within 10 mins walks. I would

Helpful and responsive staff, fantastic facilities, excellent location very near to Gora train station, close to the start of the cable car and ropeway to Lake Ashi. The gardens and onsen are incredibly beautiful in rainy weather or sunshine. The food is exceptional. Staff were also able to accommodate one member of our party who required gluten-free food (if you ask in advance). The in-house massage was also excellent.

We booked run of the house room and fortunately get room with fantastic view! To the valley and Fuji. For two pax room was perfect and big. We slept on two beds and used sofa as a living space. The breakfast was excellent!

Excellent location, you can see Mount Fuji from the garden

We enjoyed and loved the Onsen! Breakfast was very nice with lots of options.

Amazing service & hospitality

Loved the location - bus stop was outside the property. Yunessun (onsen) across the street and 2 family marts. 10 min walk to Gora and Hakone Open Air Museum. Nestled in the mountains with a stunning garden and view. Amenities were great - onsen was beautiful and so clean. Breakfast and dinner were incredible! Blown away by the choices and suitable for all dietary requirements. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The room was spotless, comfortable, and had everything you could need. I booked the day before arriving and for the price, it was a steal! ($800 CAD for 3 nights with breakfast and dinner included - other places were $1500+)

The room was comfortable and nicely decorated, the onsens were amazing and the location was stunning.
