Finally seeing the falls was even more impressive than I had...

Finally seeing the falls was even more impressive than I had imagined. Both sides have positives and should be visited. The American side has a beautiful park but more limited in restaurant choices. We did everything by walking but there was a bus option on the Canadian side.

There are many historical spots to visit such as Niagara fort in Youngstown and the Lewiston Historical sites. It's only 20 minutes to Niagara falls. The town has a small hometown feel and people are very friendly. It's easy to walk the 6 blocks on the main street to do some shopping in antique stores or step into a wonderful family bakery called the Village Bakery. Our favorite restaurant is the Italian restaurant, Casa Antica. (Make a reservation). There are also seasonal activities going on like the Peach festival in September and the ArtPark has weekly entertainment. Look into a VRBO or stay in Niagara. The local hotel, Niagara Crossings Hotel and Spa is lacking.

Found a couple of great restaurants. The Keg.

Found a couple of great restaurants. The Keg. MacGilligan's on Lundy's Lane. Did a little shopping at the Outlet mall. We both like SVP nice clothes, good prices. The Falls of course are beautiful. Lots of parkland. Nice drive on the Niagara Parkway. Enjoyed 1/2 day in the Niagara-on-the-Lake area. cute shops and lots of wineries. Wide variety of eateries. Yummy ice cream. We were there in mid-Oct Sunday to Tuesday. It was much quieter than in the summer. Very enjoyable, easy getting around.

There's lots of interesting sites to see in Queenston, as...

There's lots of interesting sites to see in Queenston, as well as all the vineyards to visit! And then it is so close to Niagara on the Lake and Niagara Falls so a perfect spot to stay while checking out the area. and once you get off the main highway, there is very little traffic. But if you are interested in visiting the historical sites, it is better to check to see when they open for the season, as most of them were closed in early May.

Horrible customer service. Dirty rooms.

Horrible customer service. Dirty rooms. There was alot of bugs in the room, pubic hair, long hair everywhere, smelled of mold and mildew. Shower didn't work properly, toilet wouldn't flush. Charged a much higher rate due to the employees being new and they made the error, in which we were wronged for the mishap. I would never recommend nor stay in the facility again. Horrible customer service

Went for a short stopover to see the falls.

Went for a short stopover to see the falls. The Radisson was half the price of other options. Many bad reviews so I was expecting the worst, but it ended up being a very quiet and pleasant stay. Outdoor pool is not working but you can sit next to it, which is fine. Indoor pool is open and is large and clean. This place looks like it barely made it thru covid, and if it was purchased and renovated could be a truly 5-star property. But as is now, it's totally fine!

Didn't do much in Stamford because we've done it all on...

Didn't do much in Stamford because we've done it all on previous trips, but really we picked this location because of its proximity to everything we wanted to do: fruit farms, wineries, the peach festival in NOTL, the restaurants in St. Cat's. As for what's good and nearby, there's Junction Coffee, the Firehall resto is decent, and Ravine Vineyard is nearby too.

It is a beautiful area located on lake Ontario It is quiet rural country with farms and fields on the lake. we went during the winter but will be returning in the summer. A great place to stay if you are going to niagara falls and want to stay outside the city.

Parking was horrible.

Parking was horrible. Not enough spaces close to the falls unless you went after 8pm. I am disabled and could not walk long distances. Therefore we left the falls in the afternoon to return at night when we could get a closer look and better parking.

Lewiston is a quaint little town.

Lewiston is a quaint little town. We walked around the Artpark - lots of trails. We went to a show at night at the Artpark. We walked trails along the Niagara River. Quiet and peaceful. Not far from Niagara Falls.
