This Capsule hotel was one of my favorites during my stay in Japan. They keep it very clean, the staff is super friendly, the price is great, and the location is excellent. I recommend it 100%—everything is really great, and I enjoyed it a lot.

Staff spoke English really well, free coffee and tea at common area was amazing and allowed me to meet with other guests. It was designed like a co-working space so I felt very comfortable in the area. My room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable

This is actually my second time staying here at Hostel Sui. I like booking here because it's quiet, away from the usual crowd. I booked a different room from last time, this was the Economy type, and I'd have to say it was a bit of work to move in but it was still comfortable to sleep in. Everything is clean and well-maintained, still the same from when I had stayed here last year.

It was such as excellent experience, perfect location, clean and the staff really nice. They storage my luggage for a couple of hours the day I arrived. And also the female rooms have everything you need. I enjoy my stay and defined I recommend to book the superior room. Thanks for everything.

The capsules are surprisingly quiet, and has enough space. I can sit down. I had a very deep sleep since I can't toss and turn. It's really quiet for a tourist area where people definitely are quite tired and snoring. The breakfast is great. It's too good that I didn't eat much outside. There's traditional Japanese breakfast and a bit of bread too. The sauna is also very relaxing after a long day of walking. Almost all toiletries you need are there, shaving cream, razor, moisturizers, creams for both face and hair, gel mousse wax, toothpaste with brush. The only thing they don't have is deodorant.

For solo backpacker on a budget this is a gem. Depending on when you're here you may have to shake things up a bit in the social room, as its a mix of japanese salarymen on work trips (not looking for fun) and international backpackers.

Calendar Hotel in Otsu provides adults only accommodations with a terrace, a restaurant and a bar.
