Hotel Ködnitzhof is located in the center of Kals, and is less than 5.6 mi from Gößnitzkopf Mountain. It provides free on-site private parking, and offers heated rooms with balconies. Great value for the money ! On the main road, easy to find. Room was spacious and quite. Recommended !
Located 4593 feet above sea level right in the heart of Kals-Großdorf at the foot of Austria's highest mountain, the SCOL Sporthotel Großglockner features its own swimming pool. It is very convenient to have a half board menu, so that guests don't have to wory about food. Plenty of choice for breakfast and dinner. We asked for a non smoking room, which I believe was as requested, but the neighbours in the balcony smoked very often and all the smelk went into our room. That is a bit dissapointing when you can’t sleep with the window opened. The room was spacious.
Well-dorado is offering accommodations in Kals am Großglockner. The guesthouse also provides free WiFi and free private parking. All rooms at the guesthouse come with a seating area. The guest house is just lovely and the owners put their best to make you feel at home. The rooms are cosy and have all you need. The bathroom , even though shared, was always clean. The breakfast was nice and there was a complimentary coffee and fruit every afternoon. We are definitely coming back again! Excellent value for money!
Located in the village of Kals, a 2-minute walk from the Großglockner Ski Area, Gamsalm offers accommodations units with free WiFi and a flat-screen satellite TV. The best hotel I have been to !!! A charming hotel in a small town, the room with a view, there is a restaurant in the hotel until 21:00 in the evening and a bar open until the last customer. Highly recommend to anyone coming to the area to stay in this lovely place! The hosts are charming and respond to every request, the breakfast is delicious and varied. I will go back to the next name for sure !!!
Just a 10-minute walk from the center of Kals am Großglockner, the Bergerhof is a farmhouse renovated in 2015, offering panoramic views of the Hohe Tauern Mountains. amazing views, friendly staff, clean facilities, good breakfast, great value for money, I loved the attention to detail and how kid friendly it was
Hoazhof has garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Kals am Großglockner. Fitted with a balcony, the units feature a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with shower. It is a very rare case that I decide to rate the property as being exceptional---however, indeed the Hoazhof pension is really unique. First of all, just like most of the properties in Kals, it is located in an old, mostly wooden, house and feels very cosy and rustic. Next, it has a perfect location: it is located a bit up the hill from both centers of Kals (Grossdorf and Koednitz) and hence there is hardly any smoke coming from the fireplaces in the village; at the same time, however, it is close enough so that one can easily walk to the restaurant on the main road (and the morning skibus stops exactly in front of the Hoazhof). Finally, the host is super-kind, genuinely takes care of the guests and has designed the room (we stayed in number 1) in such a way that it is very comfortable and practical. Highly recommended!
Located in the Kals Valley in East Tyrol, Braugasthof Glocknerblick offers panoramic views of the Großglockner, Austria’s highest mountain. Each room has a balcony and offers free LAN access. Views are just crazy there, location is superb. Quite distant location to relax in silence. Restaurant on the first floor offers quite good menu of food and drinks. Room was spacious and comfortable, very clean. Free parking, no extra charge for a dog.

Beautiful place with lots of many amazing walking / skiing opportunities for any age. Kals also has many great dining opportunities where they provide local dishes. Definitely a place to visit if you like being outdoors and in the mountains! :)
The hike up to the Lücknerhütte is very manageable and our son even hiked on to the Stüblhütte ( not advisable without pols and boots. He was wearing shorts and sneakers, no poles and passed many with gear, but got soaked in the snow). There are 2 paths to the first hut. An easy, partially paved one to the left and one that is a narrow muddy or snowy footpath, which we took. I am disabled and still managed it with my cane. My husband and daughter could not resist dunking their heads in the refreshing glacier runoff water. The view is spectacular. The marmots and mountain goats plentiful and the food at the huts tasty and cheap.
Villlage Grossdorf is very authentic with many farms which try to develop also tourism. Very beautiful village in the heart of fantastic unforgettable Alpine scenery with the highest Austrian mountain Grossglockner.
First thing 😊 It's not city is a village. After going down on slope is nothing to do. Over there is one nice hotel where you can booked a massage or go for spa. Place is beautiful but just this. Night life doesn't exist.
Our stay at Ferienhaus Alpina was terrific. Kals am Grossglockner is a great place with beautiful hikes and views. The breakfast definitely lives up to its reputation and the house is clean and in very good condition. German comes in very handy. For dinner we can recommend the Gamsalm (we liked it better than the Ködnitzhof), or the Gourmet restaurant in the Wanderhotel Taurerwirt (though they were only open 3 days a week). Reservations often a must!

This is an amazing hotel! The restaurant has top notch food. Super friendly staff. 3 swimming pools, various saunas. It is very child friendly as well. Great during a summer trip to go hiking or during winter to go skiing.
The kindest house owner couple I have ever met in Austria! Very flexible. Breakfast was fantastic, whatever you asked for, mainly from local ingredients. House clean and tidy at fantastic location. With wonderful garden.
The hotel was well located. The lady of the house was very friendly and gave us a great welcome. In the hotel everything is very relaxed and the room was of superb quality
Incredibly friendly hosts, beautiful, clean, quiet and well equipped apartment with beautiful view (balcony), very calm and nice ski resort.
