Great location close to town - would have loved to walk around the grounds but the weather wasn't kind while we were there. Great heating options throughout the cottage including the bedrooms. Appreciated the local info in the folders. Loved the selection of books, CD's & DVD's to help fill in the long winter nights

Mountain Blue is an absolute gem! This modern, secluded retreat in Golden Valley, Tasmania, exceeded all my expectations. The home is beautifully maintained, with a cozy fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, and incredibly comfortable beds—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The hosts, Maria and Brent, are amazing, and I truly enjoyed our conversations. Their hospitality made my stay even more special. The property’s stunning natural surroundings offer easy access to the Great Western Tiers and incredible hiking trails. I only wish I could have stayed longer! Highly recommend—10 stars!

The room, stuck out the back, took us by surprise but we ended up loving it, - peaceful with lovely wintery garden surrounds. The fact that there was NO Reception at all and no other guests at all, also took us very much by surprise but we ended up loving this aspect as well. It was like we were staying in an old, abandoned estate. We ended up staying 2 nights and had a fabulous time exploring Westbury and surrounds.
