Located in the remote northern section of Kosciuszko National Park, off the Snowy Mountains Highway, Yarrangobilly Caves House offers a year-round thermal pool, barbecues and a picnic area. My partner and I booked for two nights initially, and ended up adding a third night. It was a lovely place to relax, and the fact that everything we wanted to do was within walking distance was a lovely bonus. After we arrived, we didn't have to drive until we left. There is no phone reception, but there is (patchy) wifi. This suited us, because it meant that we could connect for essential reasons, but we couldn't get caught up scrolling online or streaming anything (the internet wasn't up to that). We did two caves over the three days, and I think that was perfect. They were gorgeous caves, but if we'd done anymore then it probably would have been a bit much.

Centrally located, Best Western Motel Farrington is a 5 minute drive from the Tumut Valley Violet Farm. Everything was good. This is where I would like to stay if I visit Tumut again. Great value.
