We have been going to Thredbo for well over 40 years! We love Thredbo, But the whole village could use a bit of “TLC”, positive vibes (flags, lights, plants, etc…)! Realise that it is a business, just wish that somehow it would be more “affordable”, especially much more flexibility with ski passes (an adult that simply wants to have a couple runs with his small children/ grandchildren needs to buy a full day pass…..learn from Japanese ski resorts that offer hourly passes, and so much more!).Guest review byYvesAustralia - 10.0

Thredbo is an idyllic snowy mountain village with a distinctly European feel. Food is delicious and great entertainment with little bands in bars and great Apres' Club DJs and atmosphere during winter season. It's nice and convenient to chair lifts and snowfields. Excellent free shuttle bus service and thredbo.com.au information on website and face to face. We came of the beginning of snow season.
We came of the beginning of snow season. So, the trip was easy and beautiful. The accommodation is still affordable as we went there a week before school holiday. Unfortunately we only stay there for 2 nights. We wish to stay there for at least 4 nights that will be great. We definitely will visit again in the future and stay much longer. Thredbo is a nice little village and an easy place to get to...
Thredbo is a nice little village and an easy place to get to the top of Mt. Kosciusko from, via chairlift, then a reasonably easy walk for most people (4 to 6 hours return). Unfortunately it caters mostly for the ski season. I was there in summer, to walk to the top of Kosciusko, (which I don't think you can do in winter), and although there were lots of mountain bike riders there using the mountain bike paths and the chairlifts, there were not many shops, cafes, etc. open for business. There's a little supermarket, a pub and at least one cafe. Not sure if the pharmacy was open, as I didn't need it, or if there's a doctor, police, or other essential services in town.Guest review byPeter
