The best BnB in all my rentals in NS ! A real family-run place, not one where people are only there to give you the key ! Charming hosts, the house is decorated with very good taste, the food - dinner and breakfast - is home-made, delicious and delicate, and the concern for ecological matters genuine. I just loved it !

This Baddeck, Cape Breton Island property is just 1640 feet from Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site. An on-site dining room and rooms with private bathrooms are featured.
Excellent room, spacious and comfortable. No AC, but there was no need for one as it was a cold day. Nonetheless i was offered a room with AC at the same rate, that was a nice touch. The price may seem huge for... for anyone outside of Canada, but it's actually a good deal if you compare it to what's around. Oh, coffee and milk in the room, nice.

Dinner and breakfast were both very good. The owner accepted payment as I could pay. Employees I came in contact with were all pleasant and professional. The views of the water from the room, the restaurant and from the grounds, the were magnificent!
Baddeck is a jewel on the B.D. Lakes. It is very scenic with lovely tourist shops and cafes. The scenery is amazing and the salt water lake offers recreational opportunities. Don't miss the nightly ceilidh, and especially on Thursday evenings. There are lots of great places to eat or drink local beverages.
A very pretty town in itself and the perfect jumping off for the famed Cabot Trail. There are some nice restaurants including the Freight Shed which sits right on the dock which has Muskoka chairs where one can sit and take in the view of the lighthouse.
We spent a lot more time in the Bell's museum because it was above and beyond our expectation. The museum guided tours are a must-do! It runs only twice a day (morning and afternoon, but different tour subjects), so make sure to make it. Our guid was just fantastic!. We wish our kids were with us for this. All in all we spent half a day at the museum.
Small town with many restaurants, boutiques, cafes as well as basic amenities such as a pharmacy and grocery store. Wonderful walks along the shore of the Bras D’Or lakes as well as the pier and through town. There are also cultural events such as the music concert we attended and a drama group that puts on plays. The Alexander Bell museum is worth a visit as well.
Everyone should visit the Alexander Graham Bell exhibit. We learned so much about him and his wife and their impact on science and aviation and so much more!! Needs to be taught in school Good restaurants from Toms Pizza to the Cable Room five star dining. Has a neat waterfront boardwalk. A private mega yacht The Mary A was there WOW.
A nice vibrant town on the Bras d'Or Lake with cafés, bars, and restaurants all in walking distance. Cute, local owned, shops, and a supermarket for essentials. The Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site is in town, but we didn't go in as we had limited time, and spent the days sightseeing, hiking the Skyline Trail and whale watching.
Baddeck
We loved the Silver Dart Lodge & will definitely come back to spend more time around Baddeck. The location is great- close to the start of the Cabot Trail and to Sydney. The view from our room of the lake was beautiful. The desk staff was friendly, helpful & professional. We ate dinner & breakfast there & received good service & food, despite the challenges of just having reopened after a 26 month covid shutdown. We especially enjoyed talking with Beverly who made our breakfast memorable and fun.
Baddeck
Great location if you want to explore the Cabot Trail, also not too far of a drive to Louisbourg Fortress. The Inn is also central in Baddeck, walking distance to many restaurants and the waterfront. A block away was an excellent bakery, called High Wheeler Cafe. we also enjoyed dinner and breakfast right at the Lynwood Inn restaurant, good food and friendly staff. The room was very clean, and housekeeping came every day while we were out.
Baddeck
The location and views were fantastic. We were made to feel most welcome by Jeff, and he was full of wonderful information about the area. The rooms were extremely well designed and the bed was so comfortable. We ate breakfast at the Freight Shed, which was amazing. The gallery was a lovely addition and I will definitely be back. Baddeck is the best place to stay in Cape Breton for sure.

We stayed in Room 3 which faces Baddeck Bay. The views from the room are breathtaking. We absolutely loved it! The room is nicely decorated, in tune with the character of the property. In addition to the bed, furnishings included two chairs, a console table, an armoire and a night stand. Breakfast was delicious and there were lots of options to choose from.

Hotel in the Victorian style, old but nice, very courteous staff, booked for two days and had to change rooms after one night, not so good. Unfortunately no breakfast, would be desirable. room clean. Beds very soft and uncomfortable like everywhere in Canada. Clean bathroom.

Cyndy and Dave were welcoming and their place was comfortable and had everything you'd need. Oh, and breakfast options are plentiful and delicious. It was an easy walk into Baddeck for restaurants and shops.
Great location to explore the Cabot trail. 20 ish minutes to some amazing food in Baddeck. Each room has a huge window looking out over the water. Vince the owner was super welcoming.
