We took a lake cruise that was enjoyable and informative - highly recommend Amoeba Tours Winstar. Nice marina area and it was lively with boaters & diners. The lake is beautiful! Several restaurants to choose from for dinner at the marina & downtown, and there were options for live music entertainment. Not as much to see as I expected, but it was attractive. The lake cruise made this stop on our way to the Cabot Trail worthwhile.

The location of the inn was perfect - close to restaurants, the wharf where you could take a cruise, and close to the Cabot Trail. It was well maintained, a restaurant right at the inn, areas to sit outside to enjoy the views. We had a lovely stay.

Absolutely breathtaking !
Absolutely breathtaking ! Lake after lake after lake, they’re everywhere. Lots of wildlife as well. The views are incredible and the people are so kind and accommodating. If you love great seafood, this is one of the place to go in Nova Scotia.Watson - Scored 1010
Baddeck is a jewel on the B.D. Lakes.
Baddeck is a jewel on the B.D. Lakes. It is very scenic with lovely tourist shops and cafes. The scenery is amazing and the salt water lake offers recreational opportunities. Don't miss the nightly ceilidh, and especially on Thursday evenings. There are lots of great places to eat or drink local beverages.

A very pretty town in itself and the perfect jumping off for the famed Cabot Trail. There are some nice restaurants including the Freight Shed which sits right on the dock which has Muskoka chairs where one can sit and take in the view of the lighthouse.AAnonymous - Scored 1010
We spent a lot more time in the Bell's museum because it was...
We spent a lot more time in the Bell's museum because it was above and beyond our expectation. The museum guided tours are a must-do! It runs only twice a day (morning and afternoon, but different tour subjects), so make sure to make it. Our guid was just fantastic!. We wish our kids were with us for this. All in all we spent half a day at the museum.

Great seating area at the front and back of the property and only a short walk down to the swimming pool and restaurant. We had just one meal in the restaurant, which was excellent both in terms of its quality and presentation. It’s a very short drive to the centre of Baddeck and a co-op supermarket. Great location for access to the Cabot trail and Sydney.
