Cool and artsy hotel, yet the staff were very friendly. A true “small luxury hotel of the world.” The most comfortable bed we had on our 5 month travel through Canada. The location was perfect and valet parking at the hotel easy. Next time we are in Québec City we will definitely return.

Michel and Mario were exceptional hosts in every way. They provided us a wonderful, memorable experience through their generous and gracious hospitality. The room was outstanding, very clean and well appointed with original artwork and attention to detail. The breakfasts each morning were spectacular; delicious, creative, carefully prepared and artfully presented. We ate and had conversations with other international travelers in the handsomely decorated dining room, which enriched our experience. The hosts also helped us by providing us a map and invaluable suggestions for touring the city. The location was very good. A 20-30 minute walk to the main tourist areas, attractions, cafes and restaurants of the magical Quebec City. Le 253 is a hidden gem and exceptional value.

Big, beautiful and so well appointed to the art work on the wall, amazing wooden flooring, three bathrooms and the bedrooms were exquisite. The living room looking out on the park and the river was amazing! We played many games and had many great meals in the well appointed kitchen and dining room. Loved the brick work, Murphy bed, and separate seating and work areas. Staff was superb!
