Allyson and Andrew designed and created a perfect place for couples to sit back and relax. The cottage has everything you need for a weekend getaway. The place was extremely clean and nicely decorated. We’ll definitely go back!!

A lovely small town to wander around at the weekend.
A lovely small town to wander around at the weekend. The local beer is delicious, as is the home made ice cream. The Nook and Cranny restaurant served a great home made burger, washed down with a glass of the local ‘Hippy Dippy’ light ale from the Tatamagouche Brewery. Our stay at the Train Station Inn was very enjoyable and we would recommend staying there if you like something different. The rooms are renovated cabooses and there is a cafe/gift shop in the station building, along with a dining car that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Excellent food! There is a Saturday farmers market that also has live music. Jost vineyard is just up the road and is a lovely spot for wine tasting and lunch - the wood fired pizza is delicious! We walked up the railway trail and back, which runs along the French River and is very scenic. There is also a play park and small beach along the trail where you can stop and enjoy the view, while the kids play on the park and beach. Sugar Moon Farm isn’t too far down the road, either. All in all it’s a lovely town with enough to see and do for a couple or three days.

People are very friendly. Food was good . We
enjoyed the Creamery Market, Nook and Cranny as well as Big Al's and the homemade ice cream shop. The hospitality at the Train Station Inn was wonderful. We also enjoyed the music on Friday night on the platform as well as their takeout food. The only not so great moment we experienced was when we tried to go to the Chowder house for lunch on Saturday. There was no lineup and we were turned away and told that they had no idea when there would be a vacancy. We decided to go elsewhere.

The coffeeshop menu was great. Diisappointed that they were not open for early breakfast. (Maybe there is more business opportunity in the late evening than early morning.) We had breakfast at The Subway, not our favourite.
The bed was super comfortable. It was quiet - wonder what it is like during busy season. I am acoffee addict so loved that coffee was freely available. I usually find hotel.motel air uncomfortable to breathe but did not have a problem - maybe the heat pump made a difference

This is the second year in a row I stayed here with a group of friends. The staff is super friendly and the bakery located in the hotel is amazing.
I also like that everything is within walking distance.

Great location, only 450 metres walk from Tatamagouche Brewery. Also, supermarket and liquor store across the road and free tea and coffee in room off foyer. Staff are very friendly and helpful 👍.
